This tiny beautiful bottle is very old and very charming. It is Czech cut glass featuring 2 distinct patterns: a waffle-type cut and leaf design; a gold colored(somewhat tarnished) top with an amber stone. No attempt has been made to clean the bottle either inside or outside so as not to ruin its antique value. It did once contain perfume. The fragrance of which is still detectible, and the residue in the bottle is evident. The applicator/dauber is intact. I will leave that up to the new owner. It has a green jewel at the top, it does NOT have a stopper. There is a ball of cotton in the top, you can see it in picture#10. The hinge is working well and the top fits securely. Measures approximately 2 3/8s" high(this includes the green jewel) and is approximately 13/16th of an inch in diameter. It is 2 3/4" high(with the top) and approximately 3/4" in diameter. It also has a little hook/attachment which is right under the hinge. The bottle is in very good condition. The stopper fits snugly Marked Sterling 925 Fine with a hall mark. I do not know the hallmark. Winning bidder to pay $4.50 for shipping. It has a number 3 on the bottom and a dot under it. 2nd bottles is 1" tall. Clear and a squarish-shaped vase-type bottle with no maker marks. 3rd bottle is 2" tall. Antique Henry Tetlow Sweet Sixteen Blue/White Stripe Mini Upright Perfume Bottle
Purchased in a lot from a high-end estate auction I don't know much about this. I believe it to be rare as this exact bottle hasn't been sold online(I've checked archived listings going back 15 years) Only 3 or 4 Tetlow bottles have been sold on Ebay in the last 5 years and none look remotely like this one. There are other lay down striped perfume bottles that look extremely similar. However this one has a base to set it upright and an intact Tetlow label. This looks like a lay down bottle, but it's upright. It measures 3 inches tall. The dropper on the interior is intact. Brass screw on top is stuck and I have not attempted to use much force to try to open it for fear of damage. According to the Perfume Intelligence website(the proclaimed encyclopedia of perfume) this scent was introduced in 1885. Elsewhere I read it was ... more1916 however I believe that is when the patent for the name'Sweet Sixteen' was filed in which he claimed use since 1884. Condition: Excellent. Label completely intact. Glass dropper intact. There are remnants of the perfume on the interior which give it a brownish hue. I have not attempted to clean it in any way. The cap is stuck on and I have not attempted a lot of force to try and remove it for fear of damaging it. Shipped FREE via USPS with appropriate care. Thank YOU! Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is cute set with a mini perfume bottle and a brass pill box or trinket box. The brass box has an elaborate design on the outside with a hinged lid. The box is in the shape of a heart. It could probably be polished up if you desire. There is normal surface wear for age and a couple tiny dents to the metal. The hinge is in good working order and secure to the box. The mini perfume bottle is bronze colored but is made of glass. It has 3 pressed in in sides& each side has a red jewel. The tiny lid is red glass and twists in and out of the bottle. No chips or cracks to the little glass bottle that I can see. They are so sweet displayed together so I am keeping them together. The brass box is 7/8 inch tall and about 2 inches across the top at the widest ... morepart.
