Scarce"Adoree" by Eroy Perfume Bottle NUDE Figural Frosted Glass Stopper 1940 incredible estate find among a box of AVON bottles! VERY GOOD CONDITION no chips flaws or scratches. It does have a couple of air bubbles within the glass. Normal for older glass there is a Y embossed on the bottom. Slight build up around the rim which can be cleaned. I did not want to do this for fear of damaging it due to my inexperience bottle originally created in 1925. Produced by the BTCIC glassworks, and was used for various perfumers but used by Caray in 1939. This bottle was used by Eroy's perfume Adoree in the 1940s. insurance included! RARE MARY CHESS SOUVENIR d'un SOIR NUDE WOMAN PERFUME BOTTLE LTD ED OF 1000
USA sales only. Paypal accepted. No E-checks. Offered is a rare 1956 Mary Chess figural perfume bottle of a nude woman. From my research Mary Chess made these in a limited edition of 1000 for a private event. There are 2 sizes. This being the smaller version at 3-5/8" in height. The larger one features the nude woman standing atop the Pulitzer Fountain in New York at the Plaza Hotel. Unbelievably this still has its original box with original white cardboard retainer, and some of its perfume. I believe this was never opened as it still retains the protective cellophane wrapping around the neck, I have provided a pic) and the loss of perfume has been from evaporation, not from use. A small amount may have leaked out at some point, explanation below in condition. The red box has a nice velvet like flocked material of some kind around it, ... morethe top is gold with Mary Chess in red. Inside the perfume sits on a satin base with red satin walls. Box measures 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 x 4-1/8. Package shipped with insurance. Payment is due within 3 days of auction end. Condition: I did not attempt to remove the stopper as I did not want to destroy the cellophane around the neck. No damage at all to bottle. The only thing to note is that the original tag is missing from the gold cord. Silk interior pristine as is the gold back. The box has slight evidence of handling and there is a small perfume stain on one panel, it looks like the perfume may have leaked at one time resulting in a small amount leaking onto the box, it really doesn't look all that bad, the stain is seen more clearly on the white interior of the box lid than on the red outer. Vintage Frosted Nude Lady Perfume Bottle Various Perfumers c.1925 - 1940
D escription Vintage Perfume Bottle This is an older Nude Lady Perfume Stopper and bottle acquired from a local Antique shop. This particular nude lady stopper and perfume bottle dates anywhere from 1925- 1940. Stamped on the bottom of this perfume bottle is the marks 2 Y. This stopper and bottle is in very good condition for its age and I have included many pictures for your convenience. As with all early glassworks there may be manufacture flaws. On the bottom of the stopper is a minor fleabite nick on the edge, as well as. A minor possible manufacturing flaw which is a flat nick/chip across the bottom of the stopper. I am leaving this for your determination with the many pictures that are provided. One other possible flaw that I am seeing is a surface line(possible scratch) accross the bossom when shown in the light. This is only on the ... moresurface and does not go any deeper. Gorgeous piece made in original historical Czechoslovakia mould. It is in an ART DECO style. Original mould 1900(pre- 1st World War) original RIEDEL MOULD. It is in excellent condition(no chips. Cracks, repairs, scratches) The bottle 1 st quality glass from Bohemia. Size: 17 cm tall(incl. stopper) 6.7 inch tall(incl. stopper) Interior is clean& perfect- no flaws Little piece of history of the the signed bottle: These perfume bottles are made from Jizerske Mountains glass. They were made in a small hidden village in Czechoslovakia. Later on taken over by DESNA glass. All of these bottles are handmade in moulds(forms) that originated from Riedel in 1908. Sadly so rare ... morenow. And difficult to get this collection. Never say never. However there are few points to consider that to get these bottles is so difficult. The moulds(forms) have been broken over the years and most of them are not available. These perfume bottles were handmade. By pressing the heated glass into the moulds. Up for auction is this delightful. Vintage perfume bottle made for Isadora scent of Paris. The bottle has the remnants of the original label. But the only thing readable is“Paris” in the lower corner. The bottle is 4 ¼” tall. The actual bottle is designed to look like a cushion. And then the stopper is the nude woman kneeling while removing her strand of pearls. This is an older bottle as it is all glass and there is no plastic ring around the ground stopper. This bottle is in excellent condition with only a few nicks on the bottom edge of the stopper that goes in the bottle. The glass is clean and healthy. HISTORY Known as Elroy and to some people Isordora. I was lucky enough to own a few of these in the past. I sold one a year ago for 500.00 with a buy it now. This bottle is going on the auction with a low starting bid. I still have one more in my collection that I may keep. I have gotten many e-mails in the past as to the maker of this bottle.
