It is a dark green cut glass. facetted sides. a small one actually. the larger white metal end is a little dented and knocked and I can see NO silver hallmarks on it anywhere. this of course does not mean to say its not silver as alot of similar items are not marked.MY PRICE has nothing to do with the metal content.its the ANTIQUE VALUE of the item. So this larger end. you simple unscrew it to see the inner cork of the lid and a nice gilt thread collar around the bottle. a nice mouth too. no damage. The other end is a FLAT top. you can see the square hinge at the back.so simply lift the lid. hinge it up to see the gilt interior grill which has been fine chip carved engraved. looks like a little pepper pot. now then be carefull here. quite often this little grill hinges off or pulls up.this one you MUST unscrew the whole top lid. see the photographs. inside it has the small sponge. The bottle is in two sections. perfume being the larger one. the bevelled shoulders of the bottle are all good.a very nice bottle for any collection. This auction is for an Antique Victorian Perfume Bottle. This piece is Forest Green Glass and has a glass stopper that is shaped like a crown. The bottle is a forest green glass and fits nicely into a small purse that fits the perfume bottle perfectly. It is a pale brown leather and shows normal signs of wear. The bottle is mint the stopper has a couple of tiny chips on the base of the stopper. The top of the stopper has no damage. It is a very small purse size piece. It is a large rounded cut crystal bottle with a sterling silver hinged top and a glass stopper. The cut is beautiful and there is a 12 point star on the bottom. I tried to research the hallmark and will share what I found with you. If I'm wrong. You are more than welcome to return the bottle for a full refund as long as it is in the exact same condition as when I send it to you. The metal top is a raised floral pattern and has no dents. I did my best to clean it but am sure that the buyer will be able to do a much better job. ... moreAs for the hallmark, I am positive that there is a lion facing the left, a shield and another symbol on the end but I can't make it out. The shield looks like it has 3 identical shapes inside it and the rectangle next to the shield also has a shape inside. There is another mark before the lion and I think that is the maker's mark.possibly J.T. or J.J. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I even used a magnifier. I'm pretty sure that the ground glass stopper is the original one and it is in excellent condition and fits beautifully. The hinged top and collar have no dents. Cracks or repairs and the hinge works perfectly. It clicks when you close it. This lovely bottle measures approximately 4 1/2" tall and 11" in circumference. When held to the light, I noticed a couple of small spots on the bottom and one on a clear panel but think that they are manufacturer flaws.they do not have a rough feel at all but I did want to mention it. Antique Cut Glass Sterling Top Perfume Bottle with red stone center
8 photos posted. Pretty antique lay down(or stand up) perfume bottle. The glass vial is cut in a rib pattern bordered by a cross hatch design at the bottom and the top. The glass is in excellent antique condition showing only a faint trace of fogging and a tiny nibble on one of the ribs. On a scale of 0 to 10 I'd give it a 9.5 The flip top is marked sterling under the hinge which is in perfect shape. The cap snaps on tightly. It has an octogon shape and a red pointy stone in the center. I assume it is glass. The point is still intact. No chip there. But the inside stopper is lost. The sterling is quite heavy, so there are no dents. It is monogrammed with the initials dM.L. Dimensions: 3 3/8" long and almost 3/4" across. The item comes from a smoke-free home but I have a cat. Beautiful little antique perfume bottle in clear cranberry glass with beaded and gilt design. Bottle stands approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. It is approximately 2 inches in diameter at its widest point. All parts still intact. Atomizer bulb is stiff with age and probably needs to be replaced. We don't know about the other parts. Some beads are missing or broken. A few scratches in the glass. Some dirt inside bottle. Teeny tiny damage to gilt circle around base. However. Overall, bottle is in very good condition for its age. Description Welcome to my Auction. For a superb Antique Victorian- Solid silver& deep cobalt blue glass. Miniature scent/ perfume bottle. With a corked screw top so no need for a stopper. Circa 1880 In wonderful condition. Not hallmarked as was so typical with these Antique Victorian scent bottles. The beautiful flat tubular glass is in lovely condition. The blue bottle is the most wonderful colour being the deepest of the cobalt shades with a hint of purple. With no chips or nibbles. The solid silver screw on lid has heavy repousse silver work of flowers& leaves. Absolutely stunning. I can feel a slight indentation to the lid where the tip of my finger rests when unscrewing the lid. This is very hard to see due to the ornate decoration to the lid. I mention for total accuracy. The scent bottle Measures approx- 6.8cms or 2.6 inches ... morein height. Weighs- 23.4 grams. A beautiful miniature scent bottle which has clearly been treasured& looked after as its wonderful condition shows. Vintage Antique? Silver Tone Small Ornate Flower Perfume Bottle - Glass Stopper
I don't really know anything about this piece. It appears to be a small metal perfume bottle with a glass stopper. There is a raised design on it that has flowers and leaves at the top and just some pretty designs towards the bottom half. I cannot get the top off and would be scared of breaking it to try too hard. So I cannot tell you what's inside, but it doesn't slosh or anything. I do not know if it is sterling silver or just a silver tone metal. It could be marked on the rim, but since I cannot get the top off, It does show some patina. And I wonder if at some time it had some kind of decorative cap over the glass stopper. It is fairly heavy and measures about 2 1/4 inches high. Seems to be in pretty good shape. Thanks for looking. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a GREEN GLASS Perfume Bottle with Sterling Silver Overlay and Matching Stopper. The sterling overlay is in a nice Art Nouveau design. No missing sterling overlay to the glass bottle but there is a tiny split in the overlay on the stopper which may represent a small piece missing. It's hard to tell and I never even noticed it until I inspected it closely for selling. There are a couple very small cracks in the neck and one thin hairline in the glass bottle towards the bottom half. Again. Due to the silver overlay it is very hard to see but I did try to photgraph it for you. The bottle does hold water so the hairline is obviously not entirely through the glass and just on the inside as it is smooth on the outside. The sterling overlay is of good ... morethickness and quality. It is also very secure and tight to the bottle. It does have a blank cartouche for engraving- there is no monogram. The stopper is in excellent condition with only a little roughness on the end but no chips or cracks. This tiny beautiful bottle is very old and very charming. It is Czech cut glass featuring 2 distinct patterns: a waffle-type cut and leaf design; a gold colored(somewhat tarnished) top with an amber stone. No attempt has been made to clean the bottle either inside or outside so as not to ruin its antique value. It did once contain perfume. The fragrance of which is still detectible, and the residue in the bottle is evident. The applicator/dauber is intact.
