Antique Sterling Ring- Turkish Hallmark? Antique Sterling Ring with a hallmark I have no idea about. It could be Turkish but I will leave that with you. Otherwise. I don't know too much about it. I got this ring at an antique auction many years ago. I never wore it and it has just sat in a drawer. I don't have a ring sizer so here are some measurements: face 23mm by 20mm/ ring diameter about 22mm. There are scratches, tiny nicks, and a surface cracks on the inside on the back. Superb Antique Glazed Terracotta Platter Floral 19th century Turkestan A large antique Turkestan polychrome glazed terracotta platter decorated with an impressive floral and leaf design. Such pieces would have formed part of a home's traditional Turkestan tableware; stylistic influence from the Orient. Notably China are very obvious in some pieces and this, as early as the 9th century. Shaped on a very basic potter's wheel. The wares are then glazed and fired in a traditional kiln. The firing is done on a tripod and as a result three visible marks where the glaze is absent are visible at the center of the plate. Old Pakistan Wedding Tunic. Museum Grade Collectible Tribal Textile ~Gorgeous! This is an antique Wedding Tunic known as a Chola from Pakistan. Lohana. Palari, or Burfati woman’s wedding chola(tunic) Thano Bula Khan. Dadu District, Sindh, Pakistan Silk satin with silk double-buttonhole- Herringbone- and satin-stitch embroidery plus knots and two kinds of couched metallic thread, machine topstitching, three kinds of commercial trim, sequins, mirrors, braided ties, and metallic-thread-wrapped silk pompoms; pieced; lined in cotton. This piece is a tour de force of embellishment. Its fine embroidery complemented by multiple types of other decoration and the whole unified by a strong composition and harmonious color scheme. It would have been worn over a ghagra(skirt) by a bride at her wedding. The presence of tiny shisha(mirrors) here and the ... morepiling-up of ornament may point to the work of a Lohana woman. No se utilizan herramientas eléctricas para su creación. Boruca es un pueblo indígena costarricense que posee una gran riqueza cultural e histórica. Con la elaboración de artesanías ha sobresalido a nivel internacional dándose a conocer por su arte. La creación de estas máscaras está ligada a la Fiesta de los Diablitos. Festividad que se realiza cada fin de año y que se ha venido celebrando desde la época de la colonia. Según la tradición se hacían para esta festividad y consistían en máscaras elaboradas en cedro o laurel, material fácil de tallar. Con los años el material de confección varió a la balsa por ser más ligero y fácil de tallar al estar verde. Cada pieza es única y una obra de arte.
