With an oil, just to show you how they will look, if and when you have them lightly polished. I like Lapis Lazuli both ways. Each of the 6 hearts are 1 inch by 3/4 inch. This is a large barrette and the French Know how to make them so well. These hearts are beautifully crafted and smooth. All 6 are the exact same size. This piece does include the original wood scabbard hand painted with some kind of gold paint. Silver on ferrule handle tested as Sterling. wood on sheath is old and cracked and minor chips on wood hilt. Blade needs reconditioning.
