Antique Old Philippine Moro Dyak Sword Kampilan Prev Stop Play Next This is a 19th c. Kampilan. It measures a total length of 40.50”(103cm) with a sharp 29.75”(75.50cm) blade. Most Kampilans’ have a laminated blade. This blade ends in a finely made pronged appendage(“sundi”) It has a finely carved handle with a rattan wrapped grip. The cross guard has a large thick iron hand protector. There is a small part of the alligator’s mouth missing from the handle and an old repair to the cross guard. A small amount of glue residue is visible. The blade is tightly joined the handle. There are nicks to edge of blade from its’ combat use. No scabbard. Its’ size limits overseas shipping options to some countries. Serious international bidders should inquire for rates and availability.
