Antique 1890's MISSION OAK 3 Panel FABRIC on Dowels ROOM DIVIDER FOLDING SCREEN
This original MISSION OAK 3 panel screen has been part of my life. For my entire life! I am 66 years old, and my nana had this upstairs with an old quilt as the panels. Later in life, when nana had went home at the age 101 years old, the screen was part of the house. I put new dowels in it about 18 years ago, and just always, had it as you see it now, with sheer curtains on the dowels. I now find myself in much smaller surroundings. And can not find room for the old room divider. If it could tell stories. But sadly, it has to find a new home. Maybe with someone doing a mission oak bedroom or living room, or, a shabby and chic room. All that has to be done, is for you to change out the curtain panel I have in it. It still has the original hardware on it. Nothing was changed except the dowels. Which I always meant to stain dark oak. Here are ... morethe dimension of this charming screen. It stands 68" tall. Approximately 34 in. tall. Glass top knob is 1-1/2 in. tall, 11-1/2 in. at its widest, and 20 in. deep at base. Great condition, light wear, a few minor chips at top, see also pictures. This antique step ladder came from the James Vick estate. He founded the Vick Seed Co. Here's more information taken from the seedsman.org: James Vick was born in Portsmouth. England on Nov. 23, 1818. In 1833, at the age of 12, he arrived in New York City to learn the printing trade. This auction will be for a super nice quartersawn oak fireplace mantle. This mantle appears to have just been refinished and is in great condition with no loose pieces. Joints or damage of any kind. The mirrors were also replaced with new beveled mirrors and look fantastic. This is a two piece double stack unit and can be taken apart for transport and easy install. Im not sure of the exact age of this unit but was told around 1900- 1950s. The dimensions are 61" wide X 77" tall at the widest and tallest point. The inside dimension is 35" wide X 36" tall. Heavy Antique OAK WOOD & BRASS DESK DRAWER SHELF Worn, Weathered STURDY
This entire piece is very worn in every way yet remains stable and sturdy. This was originally a desk drawer to an old oak desk. The out side is oak and brass, I think the inside is pine. This measures 30" x 12" x 8" and is just about 10 pounds. I would say it is 19th century with much patina. Also as worn as it is there is no mold, no smells or anything repulsive about it. The display rack is 1"wide and 25"long. The tobacco canister is 4"wide and 6"tall, with a 3"x 3" interior storage space. Both dragons are 5.5"wide and 5"tall. Size: Larger stand is approximately 18" height x 15" width x 15" depth Smaller stand is approximately 16" height x 11.5" width x 11.5" depth These two stands are made in the same pattern: square top. Bottom horizontal stretchers close to the ground, and thru corners with pyramid shapes on the top corners. Gustav Stickley made tabourets or stands in this pattern and his early work was not always marked. Notice that the smaller stand is finished in a lighter and slightly more reddish finish. While the larger stand is much more of a dark fumed oak color. Condition Issues: There are many blemishes ... moreto the finish including scratches and a couple of nicks to the wood. Super cool and very rare FLIP-DOWN sink from an ocean going vessel. The photos show it all. Tip it down to expose the inner sink. The pump handle used to draw water from a tank sitting on the floor beneath it, and the swing out spot, a soap holder, and a toothbrush holder. Then, when you raise it back up, the water escapes by gravity through an opening at the upper-back of the china sink, passing by hose to a waste barrel also sitting beneath the sink. Huge Antique Mission Oak Umbrella Stand Store/ Business/Bank/Club
Please scroll down the page to see more pictures. This is an antique very large solid oak umbrella stand/rack circa 1910 to 1920. It is an original piece of furniture from the bank in Columbia Pa that had been in operation since the 1800's. It features a hand formed galvanized pan that sets in the bottom to catch all the rain water from the umbrellas-and the pan has a drain tube installed on one end in case it gets full of water. That drain presently has a cap on it but it just unscrews. Size is 47 1/4" long by 18 1/4" wide by 29 1/2" tall. The corner posts are a full 2 1/4" by 1 1/4" thick. Horizontal side rails are 7/8" by 2 7/16" fancy vertical slats are 2 7/8" by 3/8" Unit has the beautiful original finish and is tight and sound. I found 1 crack to a corner post at a lower joint-shown in ... morea picture-a little glue and a clamp would tighten that right back up. This is too large for the average homeowner unless you want to put a top on it and use it for a counter or table. It would be a great unusual item for a restaurant, club house or a nice store.
