I'm in awe of whoever made it because it's all dovetailed together. From the looks of it by hand and there aren't nails or glue, but it's as tight as can be and totally solid! There are several tiny nails actually that hold the top curvy piece on, but that's all, no other spot has nails. It's sold as is because it has a rusty hanging wire and as you can see there are a few scratches and one small part has a split in the wood, but maybe it was always that way because it isn't at all loose or structurally unsound. It doesn't look like it was ever painted. It needs to be given something to nourish the surface. And it has a 10 on the back middle. Recently salvaged from the loft in neighbor’s barn. It is made from ¼” ply& nailed together with tiny brads. Measures 34 ½” tall at back. Side panels have decorative round cutouts& back to front top is only 2”W, bottom back to front across legs is 12 ½”W. Shelves have rounded edge with bottom shelf being 17 ½”W. Each shelf depth(Top to Bottom) is 1” 3 ¼” 6” 9 ¼” The 2 lower shelves are spaced 10 ½” apart. And upper shelf to top is 9 ¼” apart. Has decorative cutout legs& is freestanding for placement on floor, counter; or can be hung on wall. There are some tiny holes in side panels where was mounted to wall. Here is a sweet shelf to display something special. It is 17" high. 16" across, and 4.5" deep. The space between the shelves is a bit over 6" so you could display items up to 6" tall here. The top two shelves are just over 3" deep and the bottom shelf is 4.5" deep. The sides have a pretty, curving shape. There are two metal eyes attached to the back so that you can easily hang this. It is lightweight and solid and in excellent condition with a few little rough spots in the paint but no peeling, no missing paint- it looks great! Very good vintage condition with a beautiful shade of hyacinth blue paint which appears to have a satin or semi-gloss finish. This is the kind of shelf that was made around the 1930s-1950s. It was a representation of the Liverpool to kirby tram. In 1912 it was sold to a Liverpool toy store nearly 100 years ago. Placed in there window It drove back and forth delighting children as they passed bye. It was acquired by a young man in the 1930's who moved to Australia in the 50's bringing it with him. Upon his death in the 80's the tram was passed to his son who stored it in an attic until I purchased it two months ago. The tram motor still runs. 1800's Antique Primitive Plate Wall Rack / Shelf Display
This is a wall mount plate and tea cup rack. It was taken from a home built in the 1850's. The owner of the home told me her grandmother was given it prior to her being born. It looks like someone painted over the original stain. I cleaned off about 100 years of dirt and the original stain started to appear. This was hand crafted. Other items taken from the home were made with square head nails such as a hand crafted dry sink used prior to the home having running water. Dimensions: 39" length x 20" height x 5" deep Please review images. Some wood has rotted on the bottom corners. The plate shelf can and should be repaired. It is a piece of history. The supports at top and bottom screw into the slab sides. All brass screws. They are made of solid 5/8" thick wood. Antique Garfinkels jewelry displays I believe. Have been kept in a building for many years. The display is shaped like a U with a cabinet that comes across the back side. The U display is 8' wide and 6' long 19" wide. In the back of the cabinets are sliding doors and 6 drawers in the side pieces. 1 hinged door on the back is missing but would not be hard to replace. 9 drawers on the back cabinet which is 6' 10" x 22 1/2" They also come with the original brass lights that you can see in the first picture. Unfortunately a couple pieces of glass are broken- idiots! which would cost a couple hundred to replace. The bowfront glass is fine. I'm pricing them for a quick sale. Vintage Furniture: Antique Dentist’s Cabinet- Solid Wood& Glass- Table or Display Stand. This is a very cool old piece. I got it from an antique store almost 40 years ago where they identified it as an old dentist’s cabinet. It’s all wood with glass panels in the sides and front door. It measures 20" wide. 16" deep, and 30" tall. There is a storage drawer with porcelain pulls on top. Below that is a door with spring loaded hinges at the bottom and metal handle on top, so it swings down in front to open. That allows access to the larger storage area underneath that is glass enclosed. I have no idea exactly how it was originally used by a dentist, but now it is perfect as an end table, display case, accent piece, etc. It shows the same wear as the day I bought it. An eye catching piece that is extremely rare, virtually one ... moreof a kind. I can’t really ship this due to size and weight. But you can pick it up in Bean Station, Tennessee(less than 1 hour NE of Knoxville and 1 hour from the Smoky Mountains. a nice place to visit if you haven’t been here!
