I believe this piece is an example of RAKU pottery. Raku refers to a firing process that originated in Japan. This technique creates unique designs in its glaze. This particular piece is a double walled(hollow) bulbous bowl with a high gloss glaze on top. Dripping down the sides over a matte finish to the bottom. The inside of the bowl is smooth, moving to a textured feel on the sides, down to the rough matte finish. Its main color is a teal/green that blends with flecks white and lavender on its glossy finish. The matte bottom is teal. Green, and lavender with a distressed finish that reveals small flecks of orange. This is a beautifully restored antique factory cart/industrial cart coffee table. It is fully restored but still shows the character and signs from years of service! It makes a great conversation piece for any living room. It came out of an early 1900s factory in North Carolina. A center of furniture production in the 19th and 20th centuries. These carts transported furniture and furniture parts around the factory. This cart comes with solid wood top. It also comes with original restored cast iron. It measures approx. 48" x 30" x 16" height.

Vintage Retro 1950s Electrex Electric Fan Steel Blades Industrial Grey Works We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! Here is a nice. Vintage 1950s electric desk fan with the industrial retro style that you love. It measures 9" across the round fan cage, and appears to be made all from steel- maybe the base is iron, as it weighs a heavy 4 lbs. The blades are shiny ... moreand in really nice condition with little dots that can be seen all over- I don't know if they are dirt, or pits to the finish or very light surface rust or? But they are small, and hard to notice unless really close- see my photos. You plug the fan in and in starts right up- there is no on/off switch that I can find. As far as I can tell, too, the fan is not made to oscillate, but there is a butterfly screw at the base of the fan that allows you to adjust the fan up or down. I don't know if this is the model number, but there is an"X-764" on the lable on the back. There's something on the base too, but I cannot read it. I think it is a hoot on the label it reads, For repairs send to Electrex Service Station St. Louis MO. The cord and plug appear to be in nice condition. I cannot find any cracks or wear. There is one 1/4" piece of off white tape in one spot on the cord- as far as I can tell, it's not there to cover a crack or problem- it's old and looks like it could be a part of an original tag. The fan makes a light rattling noise when on. I can't tell what's causing it as the blades do not appear to be touching anything when in use, a

Antique Industrial Kitchen Island with Wood Butchers Block Top Army Green metal
This is one of the best pieces I have found in the last couple years. This cabinet would make an amazing kitchen island. It stands 33 inches tall and measures approx 27 inches by 28 inches across the top. The butchers block top is a little over 1 and half inches thick. There is a great deal of storage here as well. All of the drawers are in great shape and move in and out freely. They also run the length of the piece. Now as the pictures show there is some rust. I think it would look great left as is or painted as well. The rust is surface rust and the piece is very sound. None of the rust is through at any point that would leave a hole or something. Interesting and unusual find: Vintage antique wooden foldable lap desk or travel work table. Made by the Mitchell Moulding Company Park Forest, Illinois. Called the Mitchell Lap Table, this table has wrought iron side bars adjustable by wing nuts. It folds flat for travel or portability. It is meant for the lap, and not to stand alone on a surface, as the legs are foldable. The underside is covered in green felt. It is definitely pre-1950 and has an industrial design to it. It is in very good condition for its age, and has its original finish,with some minor scuffing and signs of wear.
