Mellow in tone and with its original patina, this washstand or dressing table features a base with three lockable drawers, each finished with beautiful handles. The centre section of the washstand has a marble surface. In white with grey vein lines, and an additional raised marble shelf standing on slightly shaped marble supports. The mirror section at the top is large and impressive, with a simple timber surround. The washstand presents with a well polished natural patina, without artificial shine. This wonderfully versatile antique piece measures approximately 96cm wide. And stands approximately 186cm high. The marble top is 85cm high and 46cm deep. Condition is very good- the piece is largely untouched. And presents as a nice example of quality craftsmanship from the past. The only condition issues to mention is a crack to the left-side marble support, and a mirror which is in relatively poor condition due to age-related foxing.
