I oiled the clock ... moreand wound it up and away it went. I adjusted it to time and it has been keeping time since. This is an example of an 8 day time and strike Japanese office box clock. The face of the clock is marked Meiji and MADE BY MEJI CLOCK COMPANY NAGOYA. JAPAN. The dial looks like someone was a bit over zealous with cleaner when cleaning the dial. The clock movement is marked in its top left corner with its logo. It has its logo of an M and overlapping C enclosed in a diamond with small arcs in the corners. See Meiji logo– The clock is approximately 18 ¼ inches tall. 9 inches wide at the top and 3 ¾ inches deep. The clock comes with a key but I don’t know if it is original. The case has it’s boo boo’s all in all it is in pretty good condition for age and use. Remember this is a used old clock not a new one out of a box brand new. The lower glass has a star of snow flake design. See the photos. Selling clock as is… The Meiji Clock Company was among the last to manufacture mechanical clocks in Japan. Its logo was an M and overlapping C enclosed in a diamond with small arcs in the corners. They made many different styles of clocks through the years. Wall-clock production occurred mainly in Nagoya. Antique 1890's Ornate Carved Oak Victorian Mantel Clock 24" Wall Shelf~Very Nice
For your consideration an antique 1890's oak clock shelf. Fresh from a local estate. The shelf is made of solid oak. It is ornately carved in a victorian style and has been beautifully refinished. It has three mounting holes. There is an old age crack in the wood. It measures 24" in width by 7 1/2" in height by 6 3/4" in depth. An excellent addition to any antique or clock collection or if you just want to own a really beautiful old clock shelf. I am selling this item with no reserve. Gilbert cottage clock. Circa 1870' s. 8 day movement. All original except key. Movem ent- 8 day and o riginal with Gilbert name stamped on it. Also with# 5 1/2 stamped on it. Movement was just oiled. Runs and keeps good time. Chimes accurately on the hour with a bell chime. Due to shipping, the beat may need to be adjusted. Has an alarm mechanism that was removed but I will ship it with clock, not certain if alarm works. Dial- origi nal. Hands are original. Glass on door is original alon g with reverse painting. PAIR Solid Walnut Clock or Knick Knack Shelves Detailed Fretwork Nice
This listing is for a very nice pair of solid walnut shelves. Both are in excellent condition and have a lot of detail and work. I am not sure of the exact age. These were a recent purchase from an estate. They measure 15" tall x 10 1/4" wide. Each has 3 shelves. 1 large and 2 smaller. The large shelf measures 8 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep. The smaller shelves are 3" wide x 1 5/8" deep. Both shelves have the same scene which features birds. Cherries, a ladder and a dog at the bottom of the tree. The condition is excellent. I have found no breaks or problems with either scene. There is 1 small crack at the very top which has been reglued. The backs both have a sawtooth hanger for hanging on the wall. Nice pair.

Old Antique 5 Candle Postion Black Marble Candleabras Clocks Mantle These are made of speltzer and black marble. They measure 25 inches tall by 8 5/8 inches by 8 5/8 inches overall. There is a repair on one of the arms that looks pretty good and there is overall wear. Please refer to photos to get the best impression. All the cups are present for the candles and there are 5 on each candelabra. There are some mini chips or fraying on the marble on some edges but not bad. Oxidation and tarnish is also present on the metal surfaces from age. There is a looseness to the parts that allows the various sections to move and be taken apart. This can be tightened from the bottom. Patina from age is present as these are being sold as found. ANTIQUE VINTAGE RUSTIC ENTRANCE HALL 33" WOOD SHELF This item came out of an estate in North Carolina that had many cool antique pieces. This was with a mirror(that was sold separately) that was dated around the late 1800's. A well made solid piece of furniture that can be used in an entryway or as a Trophy Shelf or for Clocks or placed below a Wall Clock or Mirror. As you can see in the pictures the nails are very old. I can't tell you a lot more about it other than it looks like it could be hung either way. The hanging hooks look like they had it hung with the carved backing going above the shelf. But it could be easily hung the other way. With the ornate carving below the shelf, making a deeper shelf space. The color of the finish is a dark brown(I would describe it as Walnut) And I am unsure of what kind of wood it is made ... moreof. Some of the photos make it look like Cherry, but it is not reddish, it is brown. The Dimensions are: 33" long by 5 1/2" high and 5 1/4" deep. the shelf Space would be 4 1/2" if the ornate back was pointed up. This is a very solid antique shelf with minor scratches. Early to Mid 1960's Grandmother Clock - American Classic Produced in Gardner MA
This clock was made by Martin Clock in Gardner. MA. I did have photos of the clock reviewed by a local company specializing in timepieces and here is their opinion based on the photos: The clock looks to be made about 1965 and most likely has a German movement to run it. It appears to be a Westminster chime and key wound as opposed to a time only movement. And weight driven. I have held on to the piece for years because it is sentimental. No longer needing to hold on to it. I would like it to belong to someone who will truly enjoy it. I have not wound or run the clock in years.
