Description All metal with faux wood-grain paint and brass handle. Painted label on the front. Very heavy and well constructed. Good condition with age appropriate wear. It has some paint loss. A few scratches, and some surface rust on the back end. The label is mostly intact. The brass has the appropriate patina you'd expect on a piece this old. One of the rods has two patent dates on it. The latest being 1908. It has one card clip. But may be missing another. The knob on the bottom spins one of the rods, and appears to do nothing at all except spin. I think that another card clip might have attached to it and was moved or locked by the knob on the bottom. The switch on the top holds the drawer in place and works great. Measures 16 1/2 in. deep. 11 1/2 in wide, and stands 7 1/2 in. tall. I took photos with and without flash. Up for sale we have a very fine Eastlake Walnut commode with rare veined marble top. The commode is in all original condition with strong sturdy construction. This piece dates from the 1880 and has all the drawers and door full working order. The wood has beautiful graining with burled wood right on the front of the drawers. The hardware is very unusual for a small piece as it has large brass backplates with lots of Victorian detail. The marble is a rare color and texture with little fossilized pieces throughout. There did used to be a back splash that was on the back of the marble. But like many of its kind it is lost. There are still some holes in the marble top that can be expertly filled and polished invisably. We will have this done if the piece does not sell on Ebay. For now we have priced it without doing this work. The piece can be ... morecleaned and waxed and used beautifully just as the marble is. The bottom commode itself need no repairs. Antique Cedar and Brass Trinket - Music box, with swiss music unit
ANTIQUE HANDMADE CEDAR AND BRASS. TRINKET- MUSIC BOX. This is a well made, heavy cedar. The imported Swiss Musical unit is a very fine delicate instrument. There is an ornate brass handle on both sides. Metal seems to be brass. This is a very old and hand made, so it does show some wear, and is not perfect. The color of the cedar is a very dark to light color, beautiful. Has a pink fabric linning. Mirror on the top part. The music unit is stamped ALPEN SWITZERLAND. There are important instructions, on original tag, how to fix and NOT to take the 2 screws out under the propeller. I believe it may have been wound too tight. It states not to wind the music box, unless the lid is open. A symbol to the right is RA/ NEE. Also it looks like some one wrote on the bottom in pencil 224 and a word I can not make out. Antique Renaissance style cast Brass frame beveled mirror Baucus crest
This unusual Ladies Dressing table mirror measures 10” wide by 14” high and has had it’s beveled mirror replaced over the century and a quarter since it was made. Beside an almost microscopic crack 1/8” just under the amazing cast of Baucus at the top of the mirror this antique art is flawless. Large 48" Round Brass Tray
Large 48" round brass tray has a hanger on the back so it can be wall-displayed. It can also be utilized as a table top. Coffee or dining. I don't know how old it is but I do know where it was for over the last 40 years. On the back is stamped Made in HongKong. Very ornate design etched in brass.
