This antique Duncan Phyfe solid mahogany wood magazine rack measures 16' wide. 17' tall at the center cutout handle and is 12' deep. There are some markings on the bottom, but there is not a company makers name or stamp. The surface has some scratches and the finish on some edges are worn. There are a few small nicks. The center divider with the handle moves slightly when lifting the piece. Overall this piece is very solid and secure. The side panels and decorative slats on both sides are thick and heavy solid Mahogany Wood. 3/4' thick side panels and 1/2' thick slats. Beautiful warm rich color with a great patina. This pre-World War II physician's exam table was purchased from a retired California physician in 1983. It was shipped to New York State in 1986 and has been in the office of Dr Joseph Duba in Shortsville. New York, is has seen almost no use(other than storage) since time of purchase. It is mahogany/ mahogany veneer, the leather surface is in very good condition. The metal stirrups are made of brass. All drawers close perfectly. It is solid and heavy. It was just sold on EBay but buyer could not arrange pickup and the item is being re-auctioned.
