RARE EARLY 1900s ANTIQUE 3 PANEL FOLDING Lithograph TELEPHONE PRIVACY SCREEN
This auction is for an extremely rare very early 1900s antique lithograph three part folding Telephone Privacy Screen. These screens were primarily used in the 1900-1910 time period when the candlestick telephone was in fashion. The person using the telephone would wrap the three part screen around the telephone to provide some level of privacy during their conversation. The screen panels are made of a very hard wood or a very dense composite board material and the back is finished with a thick black"dimpled" or"stippled" coating. The highly raised flowers and leaves appear to be carved from the same material and painted in red. Green and gold colors. There are two brass hinges with four brass screws each on both sides of the center panel which attach the two side panels. This screen is in absolutely superb condition for ... moreit age with just a bit of wear on some edges and there are NO pieces missing from any of the raised flowers and leaves(Please see pictures for actual condition of all details) All dimensions are as follows: Center panel- 14" High X 6" Wide X 1/4" Thick Side panels- 12" High X 4 1/2" Wide X 1/4" Thick Weight- Approximately 2 pounds. This piece will need some restoration. Especially along the edges as most of the material wrapped along the borders has either come lose or is crumbling. Antique Room Divider Dressing Screen Folding Partition
Welcome to our eBay auction. Up for your consideration is an antique folding 3-panel room divider dressing screen. The room divider measures approximately 60" tall and wide. Each panel partition from spindle to spindle are approximately 50" tall by 16 1/2" wide. My wife originally bought it with the intent of creating a unique dressing screen featuring vintage tinted Vogart pillow squares. But since then, we've moved into a smaller home and now have no room to dedicate to a room divider. It is structurally sound. As the what appears to be original dowels. One dowel has been repaired with tape. Lace curtains modified to fit inside the panels looks nice.

Antique 1890's MISSION OAK 3 Panel FABRIC on Dowels ROOM DIVIDER FOLDING SCREEN
This original MISSION OAK 3 panel screen has been part of my life. For my entire life! I am 66 years old, and my nana had this upstairs with an old quilt as the panels. Later in life, when nana had went home at the age 101 years old, the screen was part of the house. I put new dowels in it about 18 years ago, and just always, had it as you see it now, with sheer curtains on the dowels. I now find myself in much smaller surroundings. And can not find room for the old room divider. If it could tell stories. But sadly, it has to find a new home. Maybe with someone doing a mission oak bedroom or living room, or, a shabby and chic room. All that has to be done, is for you to change out the curtain panel I have in it. Vintage Fornasetti Folding Screen Mid-Century Italian Surrealist Libri Strumenti
Original Piero Fornasetti four-panel screen. Lithographic transfer on lacquered wood. Two sided: Polychrome"Libri" and monochromatic"Strumenti Musicali" There were only 15 of these made. Dating from 1955 to 1970(according to my research) This iteration is rather unusual. Normally, this design is seen in black and white or in tan with red bows. This version in tan with no red bows seems to be less common. The trompe l'oeil of the book case is quite effective. The instruments are more stylized. But still intriguingly three-dimensional. Provenance: My parents purchased this from the Fornasetti showroom in the early 1960's. They were considering carrying Fornasetti's works in their business. This screen resided in our home. And I inherited it. Each of the four panels measures 13.75" x 51" x 1.125" ... moreThe overall height with casters is 53.75" Total weight is 50 lbs. Condition: Very good vintage condition. There are several chips on edges indicative of wear. Along with a small section of wear near the top of one panel. One panel of Strumenti seems to have a spill of some kind on the surface(see photo) The bottoms of the panels also have a spotty layer of something on them, more so on the Libri side, possibly from when the floor nearby was being mopped. There are no smells to this item, but there is a layer of discoloration from cigarette smoke(from ten years) This could be cleaned off by a careful restorer, but I chose to leave it as is and have enjoyed it despite that. There are a few light spots where a damp finger was used to clean off a small test area. Original casters and hinges in very good condition. Opens and closes easily in all positions. Shipping details: This item will be shipped FedEx only. I will remove the hinge pins and wrap each panel in protective tissue and then in multiple layers of bubble wrap. Large three-panel folding screen, glass top, fabric on bottom
A large and very elegant three-panel folding screen. 6' 3/4" tall at the top of the center gold urn. 61-3/4" tall at the sides. All three panels total 6' 10-3/4" wide, and it is about 10" less wide as pictured. Folds down to the 30-1/2" width of the center panel. Six brass frame/wood wheel casters(two on each panel) The front is finished with fabric and gold fabric trim on the lower panels. And glass on top with gold"rope" fabric trim around the glass. The reverse is painted black with gold surrounds on the lower panel, with gold trim similar to a picture frame around the glass. It is somewhat heavy and easier to move with two people to protect the glass and top decorative trim. One person can move it if a dolly with at least two fixed wheels and/or locking wheels is used. Combined with supports ... moreto keep the screen on its side. Based on the casters we estimate it was made in the late 1800s or early 1900s. It has been in place in a bay window for about 15 years(as seen in the pictures) Some paint flaking was touched up for the pictures.
