We have this stunning. Antique room divider or folding screen. It's hand painted. Oil on canvas, was painted by Maude Ethelyn Black. She was born in Everett, Mass in 1880 and lived to be 100. The measurements are: 63" h x 63" w x 3/4" thick frame Oil painted on canvas Each canvas is 16" w x 50" tall The spindles in each frame are 3 3/8" h. The space with each spindle is 16" w. The routed area goes the entire height by 7/8" wide The frame is 2 3/8's wide x 3/4" thick. Extremely Rare Confessional, Germany, Mid To Late 1800's , Excellent , Complete
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION TODAY! An extremely rare original confessional from Germany which survived numerous bombings during WW2. This piece has been professionally restored at a considerable cost by an individual who has done numerous projects of this nature and the results as seen in the photos are an amazing piece of history. It's not certain which church it actually came from. One possibility a(guess) was a large cathedral located in Cologne which likely survived numerous bombings during WW2. This is just and educated guess but any prospective buyers can have it inspected by a licensed appraiser and authenticated prior to purchase at the buyers expense. This certainly falls under the antiquities period due to age. The wood is actually European Pine which is a hardy long lasting wood unlike American pine. The hinges are original and ... morethere is a photo in this listing showing that. Photo number 12 is the actual purple colored wool lined curtain which can be easily mounted on the the priest/ ministers door. The curtain is lined heavily with wool to protect against cold. Wind, and drafts. There are only a few pieces that are not original and that would include the latch lock that holds the priest/ ministers door closed, one of the finials, and the left rear portion of the base has a 6" x 12" wood patch which are all hardly noticeable. So, we'll estimate it to be 90-95% original! The actual hinges are original from that time period and can been seen in photo number eleven. The sides are open for the parishioners making their confessions openly which is typical for the 1800's period. This is a one of a kind piece and perhaps the only one available for sale anywhere. As you can tell by the photos it looks amazing in a large private residence! The actual weight is unknown but can be calculated prior to shipping or by the actual shipper. This Beautiful hand painted wicker bassinet has been in my wife's family for at least 30 years. It was given to us as a gift last year for our first baby but has since been outgrown and there isn't space in the house for it. Since there aren't any children on the horizon we feel that it is best to move it along. The Bassinet is an antique and everything that we have been shown and told points to the late 1800's. LATE 1800's ANTIQUE MISSION STYLE BEVELLED MIRROR IN QUARTERSAWN OAK FRAME
This CLASSIC LATE 1800's BEVELED MIRROR FRAMED IN SOLID OAK FRAME is very large. Measuring 22 inches by 46 inches. The beautiful frame is 2" wide and is quartersawn oak, showing the beautiful oak grains. It may be hung either horizontally or vertically, although the wire currently is adjusted for vertical hanging. This is a gorgeous statement piece and would focal point in any room. The beveled mirror has a 1 inch bevel, This is a strong, heavy piece. The frame is in excellent condition and has a strong oak backing. This is a local pick up item in Grand Rapids. MI. Cylinder desk rolltop secretary antique late 1800's
This Cylinder Roll top came from NJ. as you can see by the sales slip. I purchased it in Florida. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa. I have had it for about 4 years. Antique exotic wood Hibachi w/copper liner, 5 drawers, thot to be late 1800's?
I bought this thinking it was an unusual planter only to learn that it is an antique Japanese Hibachi reportedly from the late 1800's. The 5 small drawers with black metal pulls add an element of charm as do the indentations on each side to assist in carrying the Hibachi. The copper liner has been repaired(see pictures. Similar Hibachi's listed on ebay reference an exotic wood: Keyaki. Although the pictures are similar I cannot guaranteed that this is in fact Keyaki wood. I've included a number of pictures. Please review those for a more accurate indication of condition. This was obviously well used. This displays very well and I've received many compliments about it. I did in fact use it as a planter with artificial greens. With the addition of a glass top this could also work as a coffee or end table. I also think it would ... morework well on a table in an entry way. It presents very well and would be a lovely addition to almost any home and/or decor. We are downsizing so are reluctantly parting with it. It weighs about 25# and measures 27" x 14 1/2" 14" which accounts for higher shipping costs.
