It has dovetail joints, and two drawers at the top with a single compartment below that has a two door opening. The stand has towel bars at the right side that swing in and out, as well as a high towel bar at the top of the yoke. This yoke gives the stand a total height of 53". The top of the stand is 28" tall, the little metal towel bars are 12.5" long and there are three of them. The stand is 30.5" long across from side to side, and 17.5" wide front to back. The dovetails on one of the drawers look like they are beginning to break, and may need some light repair. I am unsure of the type of wood that the stand is made from, but it looks like Cherry to me.

This is a very interesting piece with hand carved mother of ... morepearl inlays of flowers on twisted inlaid silver wire stems. The top has a small ornate silver plate for engraving the owner’s monogram. But it has never been engraved, although someone has lightly scratched their initials there. The hinges are intact and in fine working condition. The inside of the lid has a red velvet lining. Where the lid and box go together. It is lined with faux ivory. The caddy has two compartments with matching lids. The bottom of the box is covered with a dark covered floral embossed paper. The top. Back, front, and base of the box are sectioned off by silver flat wire. You can tell a lot of effort and highly skilled workmanship went into making this Tea Caddy of great quality for its time. This two compartment Tea Caddy sits on four round ball feet and measures a little over five inches high. About eight inches long, and about five inches wide. It weighs about 503 grams. Due to its great vintage age it does have condition issues. And could probably use a very good restoration from an expert. There are cracks on the top. Front, back, and sides. There are chips of material gone on the front. Base, sides, and back. Some of the flat silver sectioning wire looks bent and some looks to be missing. One of the hand engraved mother of pearl flower petals. Under the front lock plate, is missing. Both of the compartment lids have chips with material missing. And the compartment linings and lock mechanism are gone. The item might be used as your jewelry box if you did not want to restore it as a Tea Caddy. THANK YOU. Here is a stunning and very desirable approximately 150 year old antique Japanese small Choba tansu. Or merchant's chest, dating from the Meiji Era around the mid to late 1800's, featuring a lock bar in the center and classical safe compartment at the bottom right. It boasts a natural light colour with a rich honey patina, beautifully shaped hand forged iron hardware, wood peg construction and 8 drawers of various sizes that provide versatile storage options including a full width drawer at the top. It is in excellent overall condition for it's age. But has a little lock issue: as there is no key and the top drawer lock is in the closed position with the drawer open it will not shut all the way. The safe compartment has a tendency to swing open by itself since there is no key to lock it. The lock issue does NOT affect the lock bar which slides in and out of place properly. Please read the description and examine the photos for more details on the condition. Locksmiths and larger antique dealers will own sets of multiple keys to fit a broad range of locks so you should be able to get the drawer unlocked easily enough so it slides into place. With a little patience you could also find an antique key that fits right here on ebay(I can recommend a seller who regularly stocks this type of item) Other small issues worth noting are a small repair in the bottom corner of the smallest drawer just above the safe compartment. The larger top drawer is stiff to open and close due to age and needs a tweak, and one corner plate in the back is bent out of shape. Given it's age there is some wearing off of the blackening of a few small spots of the iron, and a couple of small nails are missing. There is a thin fissure on the top, and one wider one on the back as is common with wood this age, but the tansu is good and strong. There ar

Beautiful Antique Victorian Bamboo Shelf
I have seen similar shelves listed as Victorian. But I can't verify the age. It measures 23" tall and 23" wide at its widest. It does need to be tightened up. It is held together with screws which can be tightened, and then maybe some glue add. I am not an expert so I will leave it to the buyer to decide what is best. There is a break in the bamboo on one foot. Please see pic. It may also be the top because it looks like it might have been a hole for hanging that broke.

For sale is a gorgeous pair of antique display cases. They are in very good condition. Considering they are well over 100 years old. The glass is all intact and other than a few scratches and one crack(see pics) they are perfect. The detail on the wood is really beautiful and they display wonderfully. For sale is this Beautiful Antique Walnut Sugar Chest. The small dovetailed sides are just amazing. The height of this piece on the stand is 34 1/2 inches and the width is 24 1/2 inches. 18 1/2 inches deep. I do not know the exact age or maker, it was bought at an Antique Show in Maryland about 10 years ago. I could add 12 pictures but if you want more just message me. This is an original sugar chest, the high cost of sugar made it necessary for someone to have a chest to store the sugar in and lock. I do not have the key for this. This Beautiful hand painted wicker bassinet has been in my wife's family for at least 30 years. It was given to us as a gift last year for our first baby but has since been outgrown and there isn't space in the house for it. Since there aren't any children on the horizon we feel that it is best to move it along. The Bassinet is an antique and everything that we have been shown and told points to the late 1800's. For sale today is a medium size nicely restored Jenny Lind trunk and the restoration turned out just awesome! I did not find any patent dates on the trunk and based on 40 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk to the 1860's to 1880's which makes this wonderful old Jenny Lind a 140 plus years old- a true antique. Jenny Lind trunks are rare and in big demand. I have restored over 500 trunks in the last 40 years and this is my fifth Jenny Lind. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and it has a good wooden bottom. The wood has multiple coats of clear applied and has the three original slats on the bottom. It has the two original hinges that are tight, work well and the lid closes well. It has the original center lock, it has been polished, does not work and no key. Two new leather latches have ... morebeen installed on the trunk. The trunk's lid stay is a new cloth one. The interior has been removed. The metal/tin is in very good condition. Two new leather handles were installed with the new end caps.There are fifty plus polished brass nail covers. Some of them are in very good condition and some are in very poor condition. This is a Beautiful Antique Maple Roll Top Dove tailed Letter Holder with a Secret Compartment. 10 1/2" wide. 7 3/4" tall and 6 1/2" deep. When the top is rolled completely back, the third divider can be removed, revealing a secret compartment. Only contained 2 pennies and 2 buttons. The wood dividers are especially beautifully grained. There are 2 angled pieces in the first compartment, I do not know there purpose. There is a shrinkage crack in the bottom. It does not detract from the piece and the piece remains solid. There are some scratches and dings, see photos. All that being said, the piece very handsome. PayPal preferred.
