The Urns each measure approximately 17 1/2" tall. Measuring to the top of the lid covers, not including the finial. They are Cream or Antique White in color. With the Urn on the Left(in pictures) being a bit yellower. They each feature a handpainted portrait center and are handpainted on both sides, see pictures) with surrounding accenting gold work. They also include gilded bronze or brass ornate mounts. Each Urn has been dusted and lightly cleaned-there appears to be a bit of tape residue on the back of the right Urn-so they may need some finer cleaning. The gold colored metal brass mounts. Handles and trim, show age wear with some of the gold color missing in various areas. Some of the gold gilt flower decoration is gray colored-not sure if its suppose to look that way for variation or has lost gilt over the years due to aging. Fine Miniature French Louis XVI Style Paravan[Dressing Screen] Teal& Gilt Decorated Surfaces Carved Ram's Head Corners Item# 130005YLP20 This is a gorgeous and unique French Louis XVI Style Carved and Painted Paravan[Mirrored Dressing Screen] from the late 19th-early 20th Century. Most notably. The stature of the piece is diminutive if not miniature, making it a piece that does not dominate or define a room. The panels are each double-hinged, allowing you to flexibly place the panels in whatever configuration works best for the overall design of your room. The frame is exquisite. Entirely hand carved of the solid(not applied or gessoed) with highly complex woodwork- the top is a tall arched wreathe of flowers with intermingled foliage over a gilded ribbon tied in a bow, these flowing outward along the frame over a gilt-highlighted ... morebeaded trim that frames the entire paravan. Flanking the crest are two flamed gilt finials stepping down in large curled acanthus formations at the corner of the left and right panels that work effectively to transition from the raised middle panel to the lower side panels. Both the left and right panels are completed with projecting carved Ram's Heads over a complex array of foliage and roses. Rosettes corner each of the mirrored panels amidst double-beaded borders. The front and back of each panel has a fine upholstery with gold trim. The frame resting over acanthus carved french feet. This is a precious little piece. Accomplished in every regard and of exceptional quality. The gray-teal painted surface remains in excellent condition and is very attractive. It is a rare treasure for which you will find countless design applications for in your home. We are not experts in identifying wood, but think this might be pecan for the show side, and a different wood, oak or pine for the back construction. This is done with a sort of Country French look with slightly curved legs and the attractive curve detail on the skirt below the drawers. The stand is approx. 27.5" tall, 17.5" wide, and nearly 10" deep. The drawer fronts have lock mechanisms, though there is no key with this table, and brass ring pulls. WOOD FRENCH STYLE DECORATIVE MANTLE WITH SHELVES
This item is USED. Up for auction is a beautiful French Style Vintage earlier 20 th Century mantle with gorgeous applied moldings and a hidden compartment. This is a decorative piece the yule logs are electric. This piece has been in the family many years. It has been repainted a number of times. The yule logs need to be rewired. The center red piece(I believe it is some type of pressboard) is torn at the bottom. The back has three separate pieces of this or similar material. One is the center and the other two cover the sides with the cubicles. I no longer have a piece of something red that was in the logs to give them a flame effect. This piece is large but I am not sure how much it weighs. All of the following measurements are approximate. Its overall length is 72” The height to the center shelf is 46 ¼” and to the side shelves 41 ... more½” Width of top center is 12” and width of sides is 10 ½” I tried to include the applied moldings in the width measurements. Top shelf is 41” long and 11 1/2” wide. Side top shelves are 12 1/2” long and 8” wide. There are 3 cubicles on each side. The cubicles are all 8” wide. The two top cubicles are 14 ½” high. The two middle cubicles are 10” high and the bottom cubicles are 11 ¾” high. The hidden compartment is 41” in length, 10 ½” wide and 14” high. But with huge appeal and functionality. This gorgeous piece is definitely antique, and we would date it to c1900. Constructed of oak. This piece is beautifully proportioned, and ... morehas loads of features that give it great appeal. Mellow in tone and with its original patina, this washstand or dressing table features a base with three lockable drawers, each finished with beautiful handles. The centre section of the washstand has a marble surface. In white with grey vein lines, and an additional raised marble shelf standing on slightly shaped marble supports. The mirror section at the top is large and impressive, with a simple timber surround. The washstand presents with a well polished natural patina, without artificial shine. This wonderfully versatile antique piece measures approximately 96cm wide. And stands approximately 186cm high. The marble top is 85cm high and 46cm deep. Condition is very good- the piece is largely untouched. And presents as a nice example of quality craftsmanship from the past. The only condition issues to mention is a crack to the left-side marble support, and a mirror which is in relatively poor condition due to age-related foxing.
