Good evening and thanks for viewing our auctions. we have a bunch of items running right now, so please take a moment to view all our offerings and maybe find that something special you have been looking for. Growing up my family had a house full of Hitchcock furniture, chairs, tables, stands, hutch, and bookcases, it wore like iron. i began collecting myself, and when the Hitchcock factory closed, i went to a couple of their stores and was fortunate enough to be able to purchase one of their dealer signs off the wall. This sign says HITCHCOCK AUTHORIZED GUILD DEALER, it shows the old Connecticut chair factory in black, while all the lettering is in gold, item is in good used condition, some very light wear in spots around the edges. one small glaze blemish on the far right of the photo about the size of an eraser, a couple light scratches ... morehere and there, but given all the years probably hanging in a showroom it's held up pretty good. it is oval in shape and measures 27 1/2 inches wide side to side, and 17 1/4 inches top to bottom, item is heavy and solid wood, i would guess maple. buyer to pay shipping and insurance, please feel free to ask all the questions you like during the auction as we strive to keep all sales final. if you are a collector of Hitchcock fine furniture, this will be a really nice and rare item to have.
