A beautiful Antique Victorian carved walnut& beaded wall pocket. The walnut frame features a gorgeous black forest type carved leaf decoration with a figural angel face motif. At top center. The fabric pocket itself displays a lovely embroidered floral motif accented with beaded decoration. The wall pocket measures 22.5" tall x 14" wide. Antique Eastlake Carved Walnut Coat Rack Wall Hanger Repurpose
This is a large beautiful piece of antique Eastlake carved walnut. It measures 32 1/4" across at the widest point and 16" tall. I do not know what this was originally used for. It does have 2 screws with eyes to string a cord or wire between so it can be hung. It does not have any holes left from coat hooks being used on it but they could easily be added so it could be used for a hanging coat rack. The front is in what I consider to be very nice condition considering its age, it would look a little better with a coat of new finish. The back does show age and someone added metal brackets with screws to hold it together. This beautiful old piece would look great displayed in any room in the house. It is not from a pet/smoke free home and I have not cleaned/polished any of it. Constructed with large, original blacksmith nails and walnut planks hand carved with Acanthus leaves and lion paw feet, references to the Roman and Hellenistic sarcophagi detailing in 16th century cassones. The adjustable sliding side pieces can be cut for a smaller window, center piece is 24" long and the sliding pieces could be cut enough two leave 2 1/2" showing on each end thus 27" minimum width- picture# 7. A nice walnut victorian eastlake wall shelve/letter box/whatever you want to put in it. Good condition with needle point on the front. Original finish good. 12" wide. 22 1/2" tall and 4" deep where items go. The leaf that holds mail or magazines pivots at the bottom, has leather side panels like an accocrdian that is very dry. One corner broke off and I will glue it back on, another corner, same side at the bottom missing, edge at the top left scuffed off- last picture Sold as is where is with no warranty.
