Early 20 th Century Antique Fireplace Screen Maple w/ Crewel Embroidery Being offered for sale is this beautiful antique fire screen with a crewel embroidered design. The screen stands 32” tall by 20” wide tall and has nice dove tail/fitted joints. It is in excellent condition for the age. The base does wobble a bit but is absolutely free standing. The embroidered design is of a woman by a tree with light pastel colors. It is highly detailed with a butterfly and bees. Flowers and different shades of green for the grass. I believe the frame to be maple but I cannot be 100% certain. I'm in awe of whoever made it because it's all dovetailed together. From the looks of it by hand and there aren't nails or glue, but it's as tight as can be and totally solid! There are several tiny nails actually that hold the top curvy piece on, but that's all, no other spot has nails. It's sold as is because it has a rusty hanging wire and as you can see there are a few scratches and one small part has a split in the wood, but maybe it was always that way because it isn't at all loose or structurally unsound. It doesn't look like it was ever painted. It needs to be given something to nourish the surface. And it has a 10 on the back middle. Antique Maple solid wood rocking chair. It was my Grandmothers and am told it was from 1930/40's best guess. The size is 34" h x 17" w x 26"d. It is in good condition and very attractive. Hope you think so also.

Vintage Cushman Maple Wood Magazine Rack Holder Some As Is Vintage Cushman Company of North Bennington. VT maple wood magazine holder. It is branded"Cushman" and has a paper label on the bottom. Height- 19 1/2" Width- 14 3/4" Depth- 7 1/2" Condition: One of the top corners of one of the large side pieces has been broken off and glued back on. It is more noticeable from the inside. On one of the sides. There are two empty nail holes at the top corners and there are newer replacement nails below these holdes. On one side, there is a gap between the side board and the end board, larger at the top and getting more narrow towards the bottom. There is some general overall wear to the finish. There is a hole near the top of one of the side parts where it can be hung from a nail or screw in the wall.
