Measuring from the outside of one handle to the other is approximately 12 ¼” The outside diameter of the tureen is about 9” and the rim is about 7 ¾” It is approximately 5 ¾” deep. Measuring to the top of the finial on the lid this serving accessory stands 10 ¼” tall. There are some surface scratches on the outside and a 3/16” long dent near the top rim. Antique Victorian Silverplate basket Middletown Hard White Metal Quadruple Plate
Up for auction is this Victorian silverplate basket from Middletown Plate Company. Marks on the bottom include Middletown Plate Co. Quadruple Plate with a set of scales in the center. Underneath are the numbers 1633 1/2. Under that is HARD WHITE METAL. The basket is about 9 3/4 inches across and almost 4 1/2 inches high. Not counting the handle. With the handle extended, it's about 11 inches high. The floral pattern appears cut into the metal. In the center is what looks like a monogram, but I can't be sure what it is. Around the edge of the basket is a pattern of continuous shields. The bottom is unmarked except for the markings indicated above. The basket has wear consistent with its age. There are a few small dents in the rim which are more evident when looking at the bottom. There is some pitting on the interior. I am not sure ... moreif there is a slight depression at the monogram. But I can feel it. I am not sure how well this basket will polish up. The item in this listing is from a collector who had vast areas of interest. He housed his collections in temperature controlled buildings allowing access to only a chosen few. He was retired from the U.S. Army and had served in World War II and the Korean War. This napkin ring is unsigned as to a maker's mark( or possibly it has faded as I can not find it) but I do see numbers so possibly this can assist you in knowing the maker. On the outer part of the ring are the numbers 0221 Maker's from that era are Pairpoint. Meriden, Rancine, Reed and Barton, ect. The Napkin Ring measures 2" inches tall to the top of the Cherub's head and is almost 1 1/2" inches wide. The opening for the napkin to be placed is about 1 1/2" inches. The napkin ring is in good pre-owned condition with usage wear. Scratches, some plating loss and some dis-colorization. It also shows some minute markings where someone must have been testing to see if it had any silver content. It looks as it could use a good cleaning to make it shine. Fabulous Antique Victorian EG Webster Repousse Silverplate Double Entree Dish
Offered today is this fabulous Victorian double entree dish made by EG Webster Co(founded 1865) It features heavy grape and leaf repousse work all around the border of the base and the lid. The lid is double-stamped so that you can remove the handle. Turn it upside down and use it as a separate serving bowl. Only the finest pieces of silver were double-stamped in this fashion. Both the base and the lid are thick and feel as if they are double walled or insulated. Both the base and the lid display beautifully, the silver is very bright and shiny, no dents or any other damage was observed. I suspect that someone in the past has had the pieces re-plated as the silver just gleams. A really splendid piece for use and display. A little smaller than the typical entree dish. Victorian Style CRANBERRY GLASS CRUET SET Silverplate Caster Holder Thumbprint
5 piece cruet Cranberry/Rose colored thumbprint set. This set has a beautiful rotating holder that is UNSIGNED. The vinegar cruets stand 8" tall with their stoppers in and 6-1/2" with out. The salt& pepper shakers stand 7-1/2" tall and the caps screw off but the threaded piece that holds the cap does come off very easily. The sugar jar stands 5-1/2" but is missing the spoon. This set is very heavy and in great condition. It has shows wear in some places. There is a slight bend to the the holder piece but does not affect the funtion. The set includes 1 cruet 8 1/2 inches tall including stopper. 2 shakers 7 1/2 inches tall, a small open jar 2 1/2 inches tall, and a mustard jar with spoon 6 inches tall. The spoon is a Rogers and Brother 5 1/2 inches tall. All the glass decanters are etched. The revolving holder measures 16 inches tall and 7 inches wide. this silverplate cake basket is in very good condition.i didn't clean it because i didn't know if i should.the plate on the basket part looks pretty good the handle has wear.it certainly doesn't take away from the beauty of this piece.the detail of the birds is amazing as are the flowers.the inside has a band w/ birds and flowers.it's signed on one foot but i can't make it out it also has a number on one foot 1868.the length is 11" and the width is 6 1/4"i'm sure this would polish up nicely.it's an incrediable victorian piece

Offered from a NJ estate is a rare and beautiful Victorian ear double castor set A silverplated stand with flower and scroll embossing around cups and handle. Flared embossed feet. Decorative scroll hook for the tongs which have 3 claw scaled grabbers and dogwood flowers applied on the handles where you'd grip. The jars are gorgeous cranberry glass in a melon rib pattern. They flare at the bases and taper to straight sides. The silverplated lids are beautifully embossed with raised scroll and have knobs with feather motif. Excellent vintage condition with no dents. Scratches or dings to the plate. The bottles are in excellent condition with the exception of a 3/8" shallow rim chip. On one that is shown in close up in the final photo. The quadruple silverplate stand or frame has an amazing flower motif design all over it. This will be a fabulous addition to your antique collection. The castor has four beautiful tall feet at its base. It is hard to find a 13 inches tall pickle castor.The hook for hanging tongs is an eagle's head figure. The tong has a very nice design. VICTORIAN PHILIP ASHBERRY& SONS SHEFFIELD SILVERPLATED& CUT GLASS PICKLE CASTOR Measures 10” high by 5” wide by 4 ½” in diameter at the base. Philip Ashberry& Sons were silverplaters in Sheffield. England and were active at 21 Bowling Green Street in Sheffield between 1856 and 1935. Philip Ashberry began trading in 1829 making Britannia metal wares. The pickle castor is in outstanding original condition with no chips or cracks. The cut glass jar has one very small factory blemish in the form of a tiny indentation in the top rim.

The decoration is typical of the aesthetic period with bamboo and flowers, very well done. The dish has two handles and a place to hold a butter knife and an interior plate. This is a recent estate sale find and is being sold as found. The interior butter plate shows wear and the piece could use a bit of polishing but is in overall nice condition. Very nice form with nice detailing on the handles and the band around the the lid. There are ornate brackets on the front to hold a butter knife. It measures 7 1/2 inches high and about 9 5/8 inches across the handles. Victorian Silverplate Butter Dish Cut Glass Liner Derby SP Co Oval Form C.1895
Victorian Silverplate Butter Dish made by the Derby Silverplate Co. C.1895-1900. Three pieces with original cut glass liner. Unusual oval form. The paneled design would have been termed Colonial Revival when this was made. No dents, silver loss as shown in the photos, primarily along the sharp lines that separate the panels. The loss looks much worse in the photos than in person, this butter dish is very charming in person. Thia butter dish was heavily tarnished when I acquired it, while polishing it, I noticed that one of the hooks for the butter knife was loose, upon close inspection I saw that it had been pushed into the area to which it was attached(see photos 7& 8) this can be fixed by resoldering the area around and behind the hook by someone who knows what they're doing. I stopped polishing in this area once I saw the reason ... morefor the loose hook. The cut glass liner has no chips or other imperfections and the interior's condition is much better than most other butter dishes of this age that I have had in the past. This is a nice Victorian era butter dish with an unusual shape and pleasing form. 6" tall with the lid in place, 8" wide across the handles and 5 1/2" deep including the hooks for the butter knife. victorian Forbes Silverplate Covered Butter Warmer/Dish Server with knife #150
up for sale is a beautiful victorian Forbes silver company butter dish/warmer with knife. this was made pre 1890's. it is numbered 150. this dish does have some patina so it could use a good polishing or you cold let it be to show character. this set includes the dish. It is even more special because it simply reads" Mother" in lieu of any monogram. Measures about 7 3/8" to the handle edges and approximately 6" tall. Base. Insert and lid. No knife. Base has the Reed& Barton name and a design patent date of Jan. 5. 1869. Condition: Nice and shiny with lovely patina from age. Presents beautifully. There is some wear to the plating near the center hole of the insert/tray. Some pitting on the inside bottom area of the base bowl, and some wear to the plating on the underside bottom and the insides ... moreof the legs/feet. On the side wall of the base bowl, I see a faint squiggly scratch about 1 1/4" long. Otherwise, just expect normal light fine surfaces scratches from polishing over the years and normal use. Meriden single Victorian spooner silverplate Cupids
Meriden Victorian silverplate spooner measures 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" wide. There are 2 wonderful cupids holding up the spoon holder. The base measures 4" wide. One side of the spooner is in very good condition and is bright and shiny. The other side has a place that looks like the silverplate has worn off. Most of the container on that side looks great. There are no breaks to the silverplate and the cupids. Top container and base are free from damage except for the rubbed part. It is marked Meriden underneath with the number 1272. Victorian celery castor silverplate glass insert
Beautiful Victorian celery castor has two parts: a silverplated base and an etched glass insert. The Silverplated base is marked 500 underneath. The glass insert has a band of leaves and berries around it. The top is scalloped. The glass does not have any cracks. Scratches or breaks. The silverplate on the base is in good condition. The celery castor measure 10" tall and 4" wide. It is a wonderful example of Victorian finery. Buyer to pay postage.
