I am told this was designed for use when Horseback Riding. The entire Flask is of the finest quality throughout. The Leather case is very well made and the Silver Plate portions are marked for the very fine Period Silversmiths James Dixon& Sons of Sheffield England. The Flask is of a great design with the Drinking Cup fitting nicely on the end of the bottle. The Flask is also a great size for use or display measuring 10" long and holding 1 cup or 250ml of Liquor. The Flask is in very fine condition throughout with no cracks or repairs and the top locks, we filled it with water and there was no leaks. The Silver Plate Cup shows some minor dents and wear scratches throughout, the leather strap part of the buckle is short and can not be done up, though I am sure a new piece of leather could be sewn on to make it fully functioning again. I have not sold a Horse Riding Flask in a number of years, I doubt many come up for auction, especially this nice and being so

Description: A French sterling silver and cut crystal traveling `spirit' flask. Housed in the original presentation box or case. These old traveling flasks were meant originally for liquor/ liqueur, easily stow-able in a purse during a night. The tapered crystal flask features a stunning paneling motif with etched or engraved intaglio depicting floral garland swags. Decorating the lid and tumbler is a repousse frieze of neoclassical laurel leaves. Retains a cut glass stopper and the lid has a gilt vermeil interior. In good condition for its age showing some general wear, the tumbler at the base can be difficult, requiring a twisting motion to remove/attach. The presentation case shows some wear commensurate with use and was retailed or marketed for Bentejac located at 67 Cours Georges Clemenceau in Bordeaux. Antique Silver Floral Repousse Flask, collapsing cup lid Derby Silver co. 1800's
Antique Derby Silver Co. flask dating to the 1800s. Heavy repousse pattern of flowers and stars with a fan like detail on the collar and base. Great workmanship in this piece as it is well made and heavy. The lid screws off and expands into a small cup for drinking. Lid is monogrammed with what looks like"EJ" or"FJ" There is quite a bit of plate loss that doesn't show in all the pictures. The top where the monogram is has spots of loss and one side has more plate loss than the other. Picture 1 is one side and Picture 2 is the other side although you can't really tell the difference. The bottom is curved and the flask does not stand up on it's own but is meant to lie flat. I have seen other pieces like this but not one in this good condition with the lid intact and working. This is a used and somewhat damaged piece of WWII history.It is an Edwardian silver plate liquor flask. Measuring approx. 6" long x 3-7/8" wide x 1-1/4" thick. This piece is marked Wm. Hutton& Sons, Improved Metal and is numbered. It was made in Sheffield, England and holds and is is marked 11 Ozs. This flask has an engraved/etched line pattern, with a space for a monogram in the upper left corner of the front. This flask was carried by my Dad in WWII and that is where the damage ocurred. There is a significant indentation on the front, a few small dents in the corners and a small approximately 1/4" long, deeper than surface' scratch on the back. Rare Antique Gorham Sterling Silver & Glass Flask 3/8 Pint Removable Cup
CLICK on the thumbnail photos above to enlarge for better detail! For your consideration is a rare Sterling Silver and Glass Flask by Gorham. For the size it feels solid and heavy. The thickness of the glass is amazing and has survived all these years. The top is monogrammed though appropriately so for a piece of this caliber. From the marks impressed on the bottom I believe this piece dates to 1911. Please see the photographs carefully as they are also part of the description. There is some wear throughout consistent with age and use along with a few what I would consider a few light dents around the middle of the base. Though a few more prominent ones on the bottoms outer edge. There are a couple on the top, one more prominent on the letter"L" of the monogram. The glass does not appear to have any damage apart from wear from normal ... moreage and use. The glass does pull out of the base. The top amazingly closes tightly and appears to have some original cork within the top.These detailed descriptions certainly do not detract from the general aesthetics or functionality of the piece and are really only mentioned for accuracy. It weathered the many years extremely well and is in good to very good condition. Up for auction is an antique J.E. Caldwell& Co flask. The flask is of glass and sterling silver. It is 6 1/2" high. Fully marked. The cup is still gilded on the inside. The condition is very good. The cap cork is intact, the hinges and cap function fine. The cap opens by twisting and pulling. There is a little dent to the cap and a little crack to the glass under it. The thick glass is intact, with no chips or scratching. It is hardly noticed, but I must to inform the buyer. This is a great collectible and very usable antique flask. Good luck with your bidding.

Bliss Co. piece) I cannot date this piece too accurately. From what I can scrape together this might be dated anywhere from 1890-1922. I found another listing for a Bliss Flask dated 1893) This may be a genuine antique. Opposite the maker mark is"7/16" on the spout. This indicates the Pint size of 7/16ths. CONDITION: Excellent condition. Although it is dirty inside and my attempts to clean it have been unsuccessful. a more professional job will be required to make this usable. There are 3 dents. Two small on the face of the flask(close to each other) and one more noticeable dent on the bottom right. ... moreAlso 2 scratches that intersect the pin stripes. Repairing these scratches would require a pro. Included will be a small bag with the original cork pieces and a small piece of foil that was inside the cap when I got it.
