This is a beautiful set of eight antique Sterling Silver Mint Julep cups made by Schofield Co. of Baltimore. Maryland. The cups are 3 1/2" tall with a 3" mouth and have a combined weight of 1139g. Each cup is marked with Schofield pattern#470 as well as the Schofield hallmark and Sterling 925. They are in very good estate condition with no monograms or other markings and only some minor dings.

This is a rare find-this set of eight(8) mint julep cups is gorgeous and ready for use or display for the upcoming Derby season. Each mint julep is in great condition. As pictured. These sterling sliver mint juleps are perhaps most renowned for their use at the Kentucky Derby, an annual thoroughbred horse racing event at Louisville, Kentucky. This set dates to the early 1900s and was manufactured by International Silver Company. The incised marks on the base include"International" the logo of a knight's helmet facing left, STERLING" and the piece number"101 25-1" The cup is about three inches in diameter at the lip and four inches tall. It weighs exactly four troy ounces by my scale. This set is in excellent condition. They have been stored in silver cloth for the last 30 years. Up for auction is a Shreve& Company San Francisco gallery tray that was made in the late 19th century or early 20th century. The inset is trimmed in Mahogany. It is made of solid sterling silver with a#8132 Maker's mark and numbers 62-3414 etched under it in very small print. The tray measures 25 1/4" X 17" and weighs approx 2.5 lbs using a standard scale. The tray is in Beautiful condition with very minor dings and imperfections. It was given to me by my grandmother and was used to serve Mint Juleps and appetizers. Sorry.Cups are not included. You are bidding on a set of 6 de Uberti of Italy Julep Cups. They are Silver Plate and have two different maker marks on the bottom(see pictures) I baught these in a box lot of a Kentucky Estate sale. I couldn't find a julep cup by de Uberti by the Marks are correct. Maybe your research or knowledge will turn up more. Some of the cups do have small dents or cracks from storage but they did clean up well. Each cups is 3 3/4 inches tall and weighs between 5.6 and 6.4 oz. Emmal is the famous young boy who is buried in the Lexington Cemetary in Lexington and whose marker is"The shoes of Emmal Fisk" This cup was given to him by his grandfather on his 1st birthday on September 3. 1868.
