This is a VINTAGE CORNET In my estimation it dates from around the early 20th Century. Circa 1900, but please make up your own mind about this. The cornet measures approx 13 inches(330mm) long and is made from silver plated brass. With some traces of the brass base metal visible. The bell is engraved with the suppliers' name SALVATION 1ST FURNISHING SUPPLIES LTD KINGS CROSS LONDON and the SALVATION ARMY CREST. The valves all move freely. The end caps have that nice grain and really pretty mellow patina that only comes with age. There is a silver strip wrapped around the shaft that says in German. To or conductors presented by the music club"Harmony" in the city of Ahlen. This piece to shows beautiful craftsmanship from end to end. There is no damage that I can see. The baton measures 14 1/2 inches overall. I acquired this piece directly from a World War II veteran who was stationed in Ahlen after World War II. Full size bow. a tad over 28 inches long. This bow is pernambuco and has a full silver mounted frog. Is probably a French bow made around the 1910 or 1920 era according to a bow expert. The wood is good quality old seasoned wood and is stiff. Superior round stick in great condition. Will make a good playing bow and should produce seasoned tones. The frog is in good condition. Antique H.N.White.Gladiator Bb Silver Clarinet w/ Case
This is an antique silver clarinet. It was made in Cleveland Ohio. Year unknown, but from what I can tell was from the 1920's-30's. My father told me it looks like the one he played in school, 70+ years ago, as he is 88 years old. At one time in it's life it was played by a boy named Garcia, in 1952, as the paper that was in side it had some information on the person, and school in which it was used. I will include the yellowed piece of paper that came with it. I have had this clarinet for over 10 years. The case opens and closes tight. It probably needs servicing to get it to play pretty, but hasn't been serviced since I had it. It is a pretty cool instrument, and I hope someone will appreciate it like I did. All items are fully hallmarked Birmingham 1908 with the maker The nail buffer is the only item with a Chester hallmark 1909 with the same maker George Unite. The rim of this piece of antique silverware is embellished with an applied Lindisfarne/Celtic style decorated border. The George VI sauceboat has an unusual handle in the form of a stylised mystical bird's head. Ornamented with chased decoration, and a scrolling bifurcating lower terminal. Ground pontil to underside base. 2 Tumblers are included with the pitcher. They were together in the estate they came from. They appear to match but do not have any hand engraving to the overlay, nor are they marked. The glass appears the same color and quality. The 3 pieces are i n very good condition with no cracks. Antique Silver Plate Condiment Cruet Holder Oil & Vinegar Shaker English
Oil and Vinegar Condiment Cruet Up for auction a very old antique condiment cruet holder/ oil& Vinegar. Shaker and jam/ mustard jar. This has a silver plate base and hand cut glass. The bottom tray or holder is silver plated. It is stamped E.P(a picture of a pig) GURMAROID REG(some registered mark) 8681. This was my Grandmothers or her mother's and my grandmother is over 100 years old. I believe this is hand cut glass because of the irregularity in the cut shape of the stoppers which are not round or even. The two tallest bottles are around 6" tall and the other two are 5-1/2" and 3-5/8" Width of the bottles are 1-3/4" and the silver stand is 8-1/2" tall. There is a chip on one of the stoppers as shown in the picture. A tiny flea bite is visible in the top of the stopper and there is a small chip on the top ... moreof the hinged bottle. The spoon is solid silver and the best I can make out it reads AS SSB AFGHAN SILVER with a S with a small BS inside it. The spoon may not be original but it has aways been in the set far as I can remember. Make sure you look at the picture carefully because this is the part you will be receiving. All sales are final. But is still functional and looks pretty when displayed. There are several chipped areas near the top of the panels which I have shown in my photos. The glass has tiny bites along the panel edges, which can be felt with your fingernail. The bottom of the jar has a fine line scratch on the outside, although it can not be seen in my photo. A late Victorian hallmarked sterling silver miniature model of a poodle seated upon an elaborately scroll decorated chair. Beautifully detailed dog with textured coat cut in the typical poodle style. The chair is incredibly detailed with shaped back and legs. There is even a figural head in the decoration on each side. For auction is a charming figure of a child sitting on a polished agate globe. It is unmarked. But tests to be sterli ng silver. The piece is solid. Not"art formed" and is unsigned as far as I could tell. The c hild is about 2 3/4 to 3" tall& the entire piece stands 4" The agate is 2" in diame ter. The detail in the figur e is excellent- the face has lots of expression and the eyes are well defined as are the hands and feet. The curls in the hair& the cowlick are crisp and masterly done.
