From E.H. L.E.H. 1872. I have done my best reading the monogram but no longer have 20/20 vision, I cannot guaranty the initials but can tell you I have done my best with a magnifying glass. I think this set is missing a third piece, a frame for the base. The lid has two small digs, that does not take away the beauty of the piece. The base dish show wear and has a obvious dig. Antique late 1800's Meriden-Brittania Co. Aesthetically decorated heavily silverplated cream pitcher and sugar bowl. Wonderful decoration includes figural women heads on the tops of the handles and Satyr like faces on all feet. Additionally. The set is engraved in a holly leaf motif along with a figural Holly berry and leaf finial on the creamer and futher leaves and berries around the figural heads. The sugar bowl measures 4 1/2" height(to the rim) x 7" wide(tip of handle to tip of handle) and the creamer is 7 1/2" height(to top of finial) x 6 1/2" wide(tip of handle to tip of spout) The set is in very good condition with no dings or dents, no silverplate loss and only modest wear. Meriden B. Company Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Creamer - Antique
I found this antique creamer/hot milk pitcher and to be honest. I don't know much about it other than it is OLD according to the bottom stamp. Meriden B. Company is a well-respected name in the silver plating industry and it is a sought after name that collectors seek. The floral pattern is very ornate and is seen around the bottom; the handle and on top of the lid. I have not polished it but it appears to have more of a pewter type coloring as opposed to a bright white silver color. The lid has a couple slight dents which causes the top point to tilt a bit to the back. The inside is scratched as you can see in the pictures which is why I think it may have been used for hot milk or syrup. Stamp: Meriden B. The book American Silver Plate by Dorothy and Ivan Rainwater picture the pattern on page 102 and 103 and state that the pattern first appeared in the Meriden Britannia Catalog in 1867. The tea pot stands 8.75 inches tall and 9 inches wide from handle to spout. The pattern is from the 1870's or earlier when the style called for high collared pieces and stately legs. The basket is unique in the beauty of the designs that surround the entire piece from the stand to the basket itself and the handle. There is damage and attempted repair on both handle ends which attach to the basket part. Soldering was done which was not the best job that could have been done. This unprofessional repair can be rectified by redoing the soldering in a better fashion by someone who knows what they are doing. It has beautiful etchings on the sides with flowers and dragonflies. It is not engraved with any family initials or crest. This napkin ring is unsigned as to a maker's mark( or possibly it has faded as I can not find it) but I do see numbers so possibly this can assist you in knowing the maker. On the outer part of the ring are the numbers 0221 Maker's from that era are Pairpoint. Meriden, Rancine, Reed and Barton, ect. This napkin ring looks very similar to the auction that ended#290853365329.they noted theirs was a Pairpoint? Feel free to look at that auction for your own decision. Silverplate Napkin Rings are identified in a book that regretfully I do not own. ... morePossibly if an EBAY bidder knows the maker by the numbers I have given they can e-mail me to allow me to update any added information. The Napkin Ring measures 2" inches tall to the top of the Cherub's head and is almost 1 1/2" inches wide. The opening for the napkin to be placed is about 1 1/2" inches. This silverplate Meriden B Co. sugar bowl came from an auction in Vermont. It is marked with the number 2003 on the bottom along with the Meriden mark. Made in USA. Someone has also scratched their initials on the bottom next to the Meriden mark. It weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. It measures 5" tall with the lid on and 7 1/2" from handle to handle. Meriden S P Co Martini shaker serving Set # 314 / 312
This is an eleven piece set in all. 314 is stamped on the shaker. While 312 is on the martini glasses. Bucket has a ding in the base on an edge, a glass has some scaring on the stem as is common on fine stemmed silver plate glasses and the ice tongs marked R B( reed and Barton) are not part of the original set. Beautiful condition. A nice centerpiece. I gave it a light polish and a thorough job will make it look even better. Rare to find this complete of a set. I think the patent date is 1927.

They were one of the first companies to form Interntional Silver Co. in 1898. Highly regarded, this company was well known for their fine quality and elegance of design and workmanship. Has the very early mark that was used in the 1870's. The inner basket features a highly detailed floral motif. Only thing I found was that the rim is a wee bit out of round. Very minor. There is a fancy name on the base but not sure what. This basket is very large and stands a grand 14" tall x 10" in diameter. This is one of the most beautiful. Antique victorian, and exceptionally tall Meriden B pickle castor. It was made around 1886 in Meriden CT. The quadruple silverplate stand or frame has an amazing flower motif design all over it. This will be a fabulous addition to your antique collection. The castor has four beautiful tall feet at its base. It is hard to find a 13 inches tall pickle castor.The hook for hanging tongs is an eagle's head figure. The tong has a very nice design. You are bidding on an old DOUBLE PICKLE CASTOR STAND. In excellent shape, looks like it was replated! It is about 8 inches wide by 11 inches high, holds cruets about 3 1/4 inches in diameter, maybe less. There are 4 ornate feet, has a woman's head stamped on the front and back of the middle section and Roman's heads on the handle, plus It looks like it will shine up. There is a stamp MERIDEN B COMPANY, with the double ax logo, and 30 under the base, indicating that is was made in the late 1900's. The only flaw that I did see was the hook for the cruet tongs, it looks like it is missing part of the end of the original hook. This is a very old dish that is missing the bird. It is numbered 0532. Quadruple plate, Meriden Silver Plate Company(hard to read but appears to say this) It is aprox. 6-7" around. The Meriden Silver Plate Company was founded in 1852 by Charles Casper in Meriden. This large silverplate basket is ornately decorated with Hummingbirds and ivy vines around the ornate four footed base and also on the outer rim. The basket measures about 9 1/2" in diameter and stands 6" in height not including the ornate folding handle. With the handle extended the basket is 12" in height. The basket stands o n four fabulously ornate feet. The silver craftsmanship is excellent. There are no breaks or repairs. Hard to find cut and etched glass dome with wonderful figural cow finial The dome is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The dome measures 4 1/2" tall x 5 3/8" in diameter. Meriden Silver holder features bright cut wheat and banner design with silverplate handle terminating at the base with a cherub on either side and floral spray behind them. This silverplate holder is in very good condtion and is marked Meriden Silver and its trademark along with the number 51. The holder measures approximately 9" tall. Handle is fixed and not a swing handle. The holder border is just a tiny bit out of round but can easily be brought back.
