Superb Pair of Late Victorian Sterling Silver Novelty Acorn Shape Pepper Pots or Shakers dated 1902 Each Novelty Shape Pepper Pot measures approximately 7/ 8 of an inch or 2 3 mm across the width or diameter of its lower body from side to side and stands 1 1/ 4 inches or 32 mm tall to the top of its lid. Both pepper pots or shakers are made from sterling silver in the novelty forms or shapes of acorns and each one has a domed pierced push fitting lid with an embossed or raised relief and engrave decorated lower body. The pepper pots or shakers have Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below and the undersides of their bodies have been impressed with English sterling silver hallmarks that include the London silversmith or makers mark M& Co Ld of Marion& Co Ltd along with the Anchor ... moremark of the Birmingham assay office, they have the Lion Passant mark of English 925 standard sterling silver and they have the Birmingham assay office date letters for 190 2. VINTAGE GORHAM STERLING SILVER COPPER VASE ANCHOR ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU CRAFTSMAN
Being offered. For your consideration is a gorgeous antique art nouveau copper and sterling silver vase. Handles and legs are sterling silver I believe that the copper body is solid copper Providence. Rhode Island Circa 1880s-1890s It is incised with GORHAM AY162 an anchor and some another image. It is a nice size. Standing 6 1/2" high. The three graceful handles start at the top of the vase. Gently turn and continue along the length of the piece where they turn into the legs at the narrow base. These three handles are made of sterling silver and I would questimate that the handles alone weigh around 40 grams. One of the legs has broken off and is missing, as can be seen in my pictures. This lovely vintage piece of history would be considered a craftsmens gem. I am not exactly sure of the precise history. Antique Rogers Double Anchor Mark Sterling Silver Salt Pepper Shakers 111 grams
Presented for your consideration this lovely set of early Rogers sterling silver salt and pepper shakers. The shakers measure 4-5/8 inches tall. And 1-11/16 inches in diameter. they have a lovely repousse floral border. The shakers are marked with the early anchor on either side of ROGERS along with STERLING. WEIGHTED REINFORCED and the number 3020. They are lightly weighted and weigh 111.5 grams on my jewelry scale. The shakers are in excellent antique condition. But one has a couple of bruises on the bottom rim and also a bruise on the side. The other is perfect(except for tarnish) They can both use a soft polish. Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Bonbon Spoon Poppy Rose Manchester Stars
manchesterbon Offered for auction is a lovely antique sterling silver bonbon spoon. With an Art Nouveau design. This bears the mark of the Manchester Manufacturing Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. The pattern name remains unknown, though the shape and form resembles those of the Baker-Manchester era. The tip of the handle appears to have opposing poppy flowers. This is followed by a wild rose design under the scripted K monogram. The bowl has yet another flower motif with an array of pierced stars. The handle is decorated on the reverse side as well. This measures 5 1/4" in length and weighs 14.8 grams as illustrated. The serving piece could use a good buffing for there is a rough surface area where the handle joins the bowl.
