Estate find! This is a beautiful silver plate coffee& tea set. Each piece is marked: Baroque Wallace Silver Plate 1451 EPNS. Included are two tea/coffee pots with attached lids. One slightly larger than the other. I am assuming the larger is for coffee and the smaller for tea. A creamer with attached, sugar with an unattached lid, and another piece the same size and shape as the sugar without a lid, not exactly sure what it's purpose is. The creamer has had a repair done to the handle. I am not sure how strong the handle is and have been very careful in handling it just in case. Other than that the entire set is in great shape and really beautiful. I have included lots of pictures as well as some showing the handle damage/repair on the creamer. I am loathe to sell this lovely silver-plated set of teapot. Sugar bowl and milk jug but will soon need to downsize. It was probably made during the 19th century. It doesn't bear the'EPNS' mark which probably means it was made before that mark was introduced. The maker's mark on the base of all three pieces is'H.B. H. and each of these letters sits in its own shield. Above is a coronet and the word'ALPHA' Which may refer to the pattern, and below is the number 6244, and these appear on all three pieces. To combat the heat conducted through the metal. There is a bone handle on the lid and two small bone insulators on the handle. The set is beautifully made and in excellent condition. With no wear or damage, except a tiny pin-head dent on one side of the teapot. Bid with confidence!

SIZE: Teapots measures 8 1/2" high. Platter measures 17 inches from handle to handle and 12 1/2" in diameter. CONDITION: The tea pot and sugar and creamer are in excellent condition for age. There is a tea stain on the inside of the pot from use(see picture) There are 2 deposits of some kind of residue or dirt in the sugar bowl. I scraped one of with my finger nail. So they should come off. The platter is in good to very good condition. Could use some shining up. Exterior is in excellent condition. No dents. Tea pot has a little bit of tea staining. Only creamer has possible minor plate loss to the interior. Looks like a spoons have scraped ... morethe surface. There are cleaning rub marks on the platter. Needs some shining. Still beautiful. The elegant teapots of this period did not stand on their own feet and therefore to avoid heat damage to tables the pots were provided with their own trays. These trays are pure elegance in their own right and can also be used for other purposes such as a card tray etc. The teapot carries its' original handle and finial which remain in excellent condition with the usual shrinkage cracks but no structural defects. The engraved decoration is excellent with a band around the main body. Around the top of the shoulder and more unusually around the base. Antique 4-Piece Durgin Sterling Silver Tea Service 1864-1905? Stowell & Co
This eBay Auction Presented By: 171 We believe this to be pattern#462 as seen on the pieces. Per some reseach we've done. Wm. B. Durgin was a silver manufacturer from 1853 to 1905, and in 1905 Gorham took over and contiued to produce Durgin products with the same trademark. From 1924 onward, all buisness between the companies was settled and the Gorham mark has been used since then. The retailer/jeweler was A. Stowell& Company, active from 1865 to 1920. Based on these dates, we believe the pieces to be from between 1865 and 1905. Somewhere shortly after the Civil War, just around the turn of the century, someone had a fine cup of tea, we're guessing. Total weight for the set is 1382.9 grams. We buy and sell fine and estate jewelry and watches as well as bullion. But sometimes we buy vintage silver. Please note we are not experts ... morein vintage silver! Exceptional 4 pc Wilcox Victorian Silverplate Tea Service– circa1865-1885 The set includes a hot water pot(10½” x 9” Slightly smaller(10”x8½” tea pot, sugar bowl(6¾”x6½” and creamer(7”x6” Unlike less desirable“nickel silver. these are plated in high quality silver, which maintains its shine with normal polishing. The surface shows minuscule abrasion from years of use and polishing. The tea pot is missing one separator/insulator in the handle. Each Piece bears the Wilcox makers mark. And bears an individual design or model number. Each piece is festooned with decorations of varions themes. The finial is a flower in bloom. With inscribed flowers surrounding it. The rim features four icon Greek-like faces in high relief. The handle has a ship maidenhead-style busty bust. At each leg is a full female bust in a niche. The feet ... moreare classic lion paws. Stunning Antique Hand-Chased Silver Plate FOUR PIECE TEA& COFFEE SERVICE Coffee& Tea Pots Creamer& Sugar From a Connecticut Estate Auction comes this Fabulous Antique HAND-CHASED SILVER PLATE FOUR PIECE TEA& COFFEE SERVICE. Hand engraved with a swirling foliate and floral design. This includes a 1 ½ Quart Coffee Pot, 1 1 Quart Tea Pot, a Large Open Sugar and a Creamer. The pots both have gorgeous handles. Each with ivory ring insulators to prevent the handles from getting too warm when the tea and coffee are poured. The coffee is 9” tall to the top of the handle and 9 1/4” from the handle to the spout while the teapot is 5 1/2” to the top of the handle and 11” from the handle to the spout. Although the pieces are in excellent used condition, there is a small dent in the creamer a repair at the underside of the bottom ... moreof the spout. And I think I see some minor plate loss here and there.still a fabulous set that is beautiful both in form and decoration. Victorian Silver Coffee and Tea Service 5 pieces-- Quadruple Plate by Pairpoint
This auction features a Victorian coffee& tea service from the 1890's. It seems to have been presented to the Mayor of Keokuk. Iowa, on Christmas of 1894(so said the tray which I carelessly sold separately) The coffee pot stands at 9.5 inches tall and the teapot is just short of 8 inches. All five pieces have the same markings: Pairpoint Mf'g Co. Quadruple Plate New Bedford Mass. It also has the logo of capital P in a diamond shape. Each has the pattern number 336. Four of the pieces also have N3305 etched on the bottom. I do not have the lids to the two bowls. However, seeing as I managed to separate these pieces from the tray, I will keep the buyer's address and forward the lids if they show up later. Thanks for looking.

Here is a beautiful silver plate tea and coffee service with porcelain linning. There is a large coffee pot. A large tea pot, and individual tea pot, a creamer and covered sugar bowl. I can find no flaws on this set. There are some dark marks on the porcelain inside the pot, but no damage. These are the first porcelain lined hollow wear items I have seen. What a great idea, they should keep liquids warm longer than the all metal varities. I have been unable to find the manufacturer of this set. There is a small square mark that is unreadable. I believe the LH on the bottom is the original owner's initials. If anyone does know the manufacturer please let me know. My store is an eclectic collection of used. Offering this very attractive antique Nickel Silver Electro Plated 5 piece Coffe and Tea Service made by W.D. Smith Silver Company of Chicago. These carry a patent date of 1914 and a pattern name of" Adam" which was one of two patterns produced. The other being" Chippendale" which seems to be the more common of the two. The Adam pattern is unique in that the side decorations are actually separate decorative pieces that are applied to the body of the pots. Very unusual and very impressive work. The set includes a Coffee Pot that measures 10 inches tall to top of finial, 10 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches across, the bottom is also marked 32 oz. The Tea Pot measures 7 1/2 inches tall, is 11 1/2 inches wide and is 5 1/4 inches across, also marked 32 oz. The Open Sugar Bowl is 4 1/4 inches tall, 7 1/2 inches wide and 4 inches ... moreacross. No dents or dings except on the large coffee pot there is a slight indention where the lid comes back to the handle, likely from opening and closing over the years.
