THIS IS A SET OF ART NOUVEAU/ ARTS& CRAFTS FIREPLACE TILES. FROM THE NORTH ENGLAND ARCHITECTURAL TILE COMPANY. This is a classical Arts& Crafts/ Mission design. Bearing all the usual geometrical symmetry which tends to differentiate them from the more commonly seen Art Nouveau designs. Four pale sky blue petals emerge from a tube-lined epicenter and branch outwards towards a leafy surround in deep forest green. The green areas are particularly interesting when the tiles are placed one atop another as they serve to form a second interlocking pattern. They're effect is stunning- please see the last photograph of the mirror which I made using these tiles to get a better idea of how they look when placed consecutively(mirrors can be made to order also, in any size from 24"x24" upwards) Also a fabulous tile for kitchen backsplashes ... moreand available too are the pale blue plain 6x6 field tile to match the petals, should you wish to use a larger amount for applications other than your fireplace. The piece was produced at the Newark. NJ pottery founded by Fred Tschirner and William Long in 1905. The vase has a strong Arts& Crafts design with clean, curvilinear lines to the classically inspired form. The dense white vitreous/ fine matrix body is finished in Clifton's"Crystal Patina" glaze. This is one of the better examples of this striking glaze I've seen with a nice distribution of green and gold microcrystalline drips running over the cream/ yellow ground. The vase has a nice presence measuring 10" high, 6" in diameter and 3" O.D. across the top rim. But, it’s a beauty with a wonderful architectural design. The bench is very sturdy and put together with screw which appear to be original to the piece. The screws have a very aged patina and are in areas had to be screwed in as the bench was put together. The fabric top may or may not be original, it has a very Art Deco triangle design which could be of the period. Fabric may be slightly faded from time.The bench has its original finish. Gorgeous antique light fixture. Featuring a cylinder amber glass shade in a brass fixture, four rods with finials on both ends hold the glass shade in place. The fixture is solid brass, it has a brass toned paint on it which is original, this could be stripped however and this would really shine. It has some minor stress marks and dents typical of brass, but nothing major, some wear but could easily be used and displayed as it is. It has been rewired with a porcelain socket and new wiring and could take a 100 watt bulb if desired. Original mounting hardware. The only replacement part on this aside from the socket is the finials on the bottom of the fixture which are new, solid brass- one original finial was missing so they were replaced. The brass is lightly hammered for texture and floral medallions further accent the chandelier. The circular frame houses 5 arms/lights which extend outward from the frame in candlestick fashion. The original, seeded, clear glass shades are present and in good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. Scrolled brass attaches to the circular frame and extends below the frame for interest. Featured in this auction is a beautiful. Vintage flower vase made by Camark Pottery. The finish is a combination of matte glazes with an underglaze of deep ocean green and a paler blue overdrip. This glaze effect on the vase is stunning and gives the piece a true arts and crafts feel to it. The vase has two embellishments that give the effect of ringed handles. This early piece is not marked, but it is identified in the Collector's Guide to Camark Pottery reference book by Gifford as shape#202. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips. No cracks, no crazing and no repairs; however, it is obvious that the piece was gently used because of the numerous stray marks, scratches and scuffs, both inside and out, that are present. It is 5" wide. Condition is very good except for a little spot inside the rim that may be a paint chip but may also be something done when it was made(see last photo) It is rough, but it is"even" with the rest of the rim. It is all hand made. Heavy with a solid feel. In very good condition, a few stains in the center but no breaks, splits or dents. Marked with clear imprint. It measures 8 1/4" square. A great find for the collector. I have been in the Antique trade for over 30 years. A collector for over 25 years and selling antiques and collectables on eBay since 1998. The original deep finish on quarter sawn oak is very well preserved. It has been waxed and buffed so an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth will maintain its warm patina. There are two imperfections behind the white dogs tail and ... moreone above E. Petit signature. Its as if the print had something press against the back of it and raising the canvas ever so slightly. There is also a tiny mahogany stain mark on the very top center portrait. There might be a tiny spec here and there as to be expected on an art framed like this and moved over the years. Several of these imperfections that were mentioned are hard to see with the human eye. On the E. Petit Portrait there are three nicks, chips of paint missing in that print. Two along the left hand side edge and one center top of the Portrait.Slight staining on the hunting dog portrait, upper right hand corner. Unmarked but this was made by the Brush McCoy pottery company, believe it was located in Zanesville Ohio, the bowl has an arts and crafts, mission period look and design, would say this is an organic design or style, looks like it has pebbles as the design, approx. 7 1/4" wide by 2 7?8" tall, the bowl has some teeny tiny edge dings, flea bite size, looks more to the glaze finish, there are no major chips or cracks noted, the bowl does have the characteristic manufacturing irregularities known for this pottery company, there is glaze skipping on the bottom, some small rough spots, glazed over from removing the bowl from a mold, overall would say nice shape for a bowl of this age, SH is $12.00 for this bowl including secure packing, USA purchases only.

Here is a large Mission Swirl art pottery vase that I think is a piece of early Niloak. It is not marked on the bottom. The vase stands about 9 3/4" tall and about 5" at it's widest mid point. The top is about 4 3/8" across. It has been broken and reglued, with glue residue showing from the inside but not on the outside. Please be sure to look over the pictures carefully so you can see exactly what you would be bidding on. One side has just 2 crack lines that don't show very much so you might be able to display from that side. An expert might even be able to camouflage the crack lines even more. It is in fair condition with some very minimal wear from age and use and a chip along the upper rim edge- that would be under the mount when on a lamp(see photos) I do not see a maker's name on this item. But it looks to be possibly Steuben or Tiffany to me. It measures about 5 inches high, 2 inches at the upper mount side opening and 5 inches wide at the base rim edge. Antique Arts and Crafts Wood Picture Frame w art, Chestnut 12 x 10, Mission
Antique Arts and Crafts wood picture frame. App. 10.5" x 12.5" outside dimension, wavy glass, and a bonus portrait signed by the artist. I believe this is Chestnut, but I am not an expert. It's 3" wide across the front, 3/4" depth. There is an intentional gap that radiates from the center of each corner to tightly close at the corners. The wood gently slopes from the outside to the inside. A simple band edges the corners. The opening is 6.5" x 4.5" Fabulous condition with just a few surface scratches that I have photographed in detail. Easily remedied. If you like. I can do it. The lovely portrait in profile looks at first glance to be a photograph. But the paper looks like printmakers paper, and it is signed in pencil, so maybe a photogravure? Or another technique? This impressive fine art pottery large desktop inkwell and writing set is a rare and attrractive Arts& Crafts Mission style delight.This is a writing set with raised inkwell pavillion having a resivoir rim to accomodate the sculptured lid and having the original pottery inkwell socket.There are groves for several pens.Top rims are of the deepest brown with cats eye flambe glaze technique flowing down.The glaze runs on the pieces of this are absolutely beautiful.Added are interupting orange and cream colored rim design accents also dripping browns.I feel this is a Fulper special order item.Although the clay is a orangeish color so I do not know positively the maker.Being un-marked this should be a Fulper specialty item,but with the trade patent infringement competitioin of that period it could be european orign.I searched for possible ... moreeuropean similar products and found nothing close and nobody would produce a copy ink well.This was probably made in the 20s or possibly earlier.There is no other damage or repair on the base,lid,or ink socket.It is about 11 inches by 8 inches widest and 2 inches high nominally and 3 inches highest.The shaded coloring design is fantastic and is well executed.This spectalar item is very attractive to display and would be a wonderful addition for a fine art pottery collectiion.Although times change this can be used for special earing and bracelet storage. Size: Larger stand is approximately 18" height x 15" width x 15" depth Smaller stand is approximately 16" height x 11.5" width x 11.5" depth These two stands are made in the same pattern: square top. Bottom horizontal stretchers close to the ground, and thru corners with pyramid shapes on the top corners. Gustav Stickley made tabourets or stands in this pattern and his early work was not always marked. Notice that the smaller stand is finished in a lighter and slightly more reddish finish. While the larger stand is much more of a dark fumed oak color. Condition Issues: There are many blemishes ... moreto the finish including scratches and a couple of nicks to the wood. This is also signed with the artists name but i can not make it out. The design is very much like Peters& reed Landsun. REWIRED Mission Arts and Crafts Art Deco Steampunik Aesthetic Ceiling Fixture
A great cast iron piece with what appears to be copper plating almost thirteen inches across and about seven inches wide. The finial is just over one and three fourths inches long and the fixture protrudes four and a half inches from the ceiling. Finial included. The original sockets remain attached to the fixture, as they are molded into it, but the wiring and chain pull mechanism are brand new. The copper is worn in some places and some of the paint on the sockets has worn off, which doesn't detract from overall beauty and feel, especially if one is looking for a shabby vintage look. I have included"steampunk aesthetic" in the description as someone a great deal younger and cooler than myself told me this piece might complement that décor. Arts and Crafts Mission style hammerd copper vase.Trench Art? For your consideration I offer you an Arts and Crafts hammered copper vase. The seam is a loop and rivit design. The base is a seperate piece of copper. The vase part has an original steel plate formed into the bottom with a brass bolt that runs through and a nut on the bottom holding the base on( nut seems to me to be a replacement) This is thick heavy copper weighing in at 2lbs. total. A part of me really wants to call this Mission Style Vase WW1 Trench Art but the style is just so accurate to the Arts and Crafts movement I tend to lean back toward a Mission Artisan of the day. If it is indeed Trench Art This solider has a real sense of style. Anyway I hope you can judge for yourself from my photographs. Great original dark patina. Bottom is a bit misshappen. A very nice mission arts and crafts helmet desk lamp.In very good condition.This lamp is extremely heavy for it's size.Mostly made from solid brass with a very large cast iron base weight.It has a very nice rich brown patina in good overall condition.This lamp is very finely constructed and was probably made by Bradley and Hubbard.The original Bryant pull chain socket is in perfect working order.The original switch was replaced at one point.It has been completely rewired and has a new antique type braided cord.It's ready to use and enjoy.One shade nut was missing on the left side of the lamp so I installed a cap nut that works very well.It measures 13" tall.The shade is 7-1/2 wide by 4-1/2" tall.The base is 6" wide by 4" deep.It will be extremely well packed for a safe shipment.Please use Pay Pal for payment.Please ... morepay within three days of the end the auction unless prior arrangements have been made.No international shipping.Thanks
