It looks like it was probably only used once and then put back in the original box. I wonder if it was carried for a Wedding. This bag was made by Whiting& Davis and is a fine Ivory color enamel metal mesh with bright shiny gold tone fittings. The bag measures 5" long by 4 1/2" wide. It has a gold chain handle and has a drop of 9" The bag is marked on the inside of the purse frame. The lining is an ivory satin. There is a tiny bit of discoloration at the very top of the lining. This purse was found mint in the original box from an estate and there is also the original hang tag and the purse was purchased from Jobe's Jewelry store in Jefferson City. MO. The original box is also in very good condition. Please view photos to further aid in description. There are a couple of spots where the beads appear slightly darker than the rest- black covering the fabric that the beads are attached to. There are some beads missing on the very edges/corners of the purse. Particularly in the back corners. There is some fading to the silk interior and a blue ink stain on the fabric inside.
