Here we have for offer a large late Victorian mahogany triple breakfront wardrobe dating to the end of the 19th century. This impressive wardrobe has a carved breakfront cupboard over a bank of graduating drawers flanked on either side by bevelled edge mirrors being raised on a plinth base. This absolutely stunning Baroque walnut armoire was purchased in Opio. France, 11 years ago by my husband and me. Our children are off to college, and we are downsizing, so we are selling a few of our larger pieces. Measures 96" tall. 86" wide, 28" deep. The armoire has two very large doors that swing open, and are secured with a metal antique key. The two drawers under the doors open for additional storage. Indicative of pieces from this era. Spectacular original knockdown wardrobe from 120+ years ago. Original finish; well cared for since new. 48" wide; you can use it as a closet for that room that has none. 87" tall including top cornice piece- make sure it will fit before bidding! Completely disassembles with no tools- top. Middle, and base all are held together with sliding wood clamps that cleverly attach the sections. This has been in the same family since new. It was last used as a gun safe judging by the racks on the left side. Both doors lock. Beautiful oak grain with no damage anywhere. No makers mark; just the number 31 stamped on a number of pieces. The wardrobe comes with three doors, which are all picture frame molded and shows an unbelievable display of high quality quarter sawn oak. It comes with its own key, but the locks usually need to be adjusted and cleaned so unfortunately we are unable to guarantee locks. The best thing about this wardrobe is its size. It is 64 inches wide on the inside, 23 inches deep and 70 inches high. It has a hanging rod on the top as well as a place where you could put shelves if you so desire. This gorgeous wardrobe has plenty of space and an added bonus to it is that it is extra deep. When you close it all up, it displays wonderful tiger sawn oak panels, and picture frame molded doors which are beautiful. The three drawers underneath are all dovetailed, picture frame molded and raised paneled. The sides, as you would expect them, are all raised panel, which is a sure sign of high quality, with each side having three large panels and two small panels. The wardrobe is all oak wood. Has two doors, two dovetailed drawers, all brass hardware present, comes with key and working lock, and very sturdy. This is a beautiful Walnut Armoire. Louis XV era, circa 1800-1899. It has a single beveled mirror door and has intricate carving on the top and on the bottom drawer. The inside has 5 shelfs measuring 3' x 13" and an inside lockable drawer measuring 27 1/2" x 19 1/2" 4" deep. The inside of the armoire is lined with birdseye maple. The armoire measures 95" to the top of the filigree. And is 40" wide. The beveled mirror measures 25 7/8" wide and is 57 5/8" high. The door is also lockable. Below the door/mirror is another drawer measuring 31 3/4" x 14" x 3 5/8" deep. It is in excellent original condition. It comes apart in 4 sections for easy shipping. This is an absolutely fabulous antique one piece Victorian four door mahogany closet or wardrobe. With original cloak hooks and campaign drawers and carved decorative finial. Currently having several shelf papered covered shelves someone added to increase storage space, a new owner could have additional or shelves more appropriate to the age of the piece made if desired or it could simply be used for that always needed extra space to hang multiple jackets and store books, gloves, scarves and sporting equipment within a stylish yet functional old Victorian wardrobe, most recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland. This terrific four door closet stands 86 1/2 inches tall and measures 67 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches deep. Front to back. There are a total of three brass cloak hooks around the wall in each end closet as well a three ... moreprong hook in the center plus four along the wall and two more 3 prong hook's in the large center closet, with hooks for a total of 22 coats, jackets or scarves. The two end closets are each 15 inches wide and 14 inches front to back with 58 inches clearance above the large campaign drawers in the bottom of each closet. Majestic antique armoire made by expert cabinet maker Geo. Laird& Son. Bridgeton, Glasgow, Scotland. Made of tiger wood oak with ebony inlay it has the original teardrop hardware pulls with a dogwood motif. Also a beveled glass viewing mirrror. The original ivory tag is inside on the door and says: Geo Laird& Son, 10 Ann St. Bridgeton, Glasgow. We are not quite sure how old this piece is, that would be up to he buyer to determine. Up for sale is a turn of the century American made antique armoire/ wardrobe. Armoire is in pretty good overall condition and can be used the way it is. Needs a little refurbishment to be in perfect shape. Everything is missing from the inside except the lock. Which is missing the key. There are places where pieces of the veneer has come off. Armoire was originally built using tongue and groove and the back was held on with wood dowels. The dowels are missing and the back has been nailed on. The hinges have been replaced.
