Handsome circa 1880s walnut Victorian Armoire/Wardrobe. Beautiful figural walnut veneer on the double doors and drawers. Great for extra storage/closet space. Flared Molded Cornice. Paneled sides. Shelves inside. Old locks with skeleton key although they are not very secure. Height to top = 89" 7’ 5” Width at base = 55” Width at widest at top of crown molding = 61" Depth at base = 19.5” Depth at deepest at top of crown molding = 23" The armoire does dis-assemble into several pieces for easier moving…can even be transported in a normal size SUV! Assembles with wood blocks and a few screws to keep the back panels secure. The doors are simply attached by sliding each door down onto the hinges. See photos that illustrate the setup. WONDERFUL ANTIQUE FRENCH DOUBLE DOOR ARMOIRE - HENRI II STYLE
This excellent quality French antique double door armoire in the Henri II style dates from c.1900. The armoire has been painted in Farrow and Ball'Pavillion Grey' with'All White' highlights. And has been given a soft wax finish. With some wonderful features including a carved removeable top with finials to each side. There are reeded columns either side of the decoratively carved panelled doors. With ornate brass locks to the doors and handles to the drawer. The interior can be fitted with adjustable shelves or can have a shelf with hanging rails from front to back. There is an additional useful drawer to the base. As with all our wooden items it has been fully treated with a woodworm preventative as a matter of course. There are some very minor knocks and bumps but this is in keeping with its age c1900. A Dutch Louis-Philippe style mahogany double door armoire. Circa 1870. The molded cornice with rounded corners above a pair of double paneled well figured mahogany scalloped doors. With foliated scrolls end post carvings, above a long frieze drawer, raised on rounded feet, the interior later fitted with boards and drawers. Functional latch with 1 key. 87 1/2" high, 65" wide, 21" deep. Condition: excellent overall condition: good patina; no signs of recent damage or repair. Item located in west Miami. This handsome piece is constructed of Chestnut and features 3 slatted heart pine shelves on the interior. The side panels and doors are of paneled construction and the crown boasts a large shell in the center of a spindled galley flanked on the corners with large finials. Note the hand carved floral rosettes and scrollwork above the doors. There is a single drawer along the bottom below the doors and there are two bun feet in the front. The exterior of the cabinet exhibits a custom hand painted and distressed finish in a tan/ greige or dark putty color- Chateau Gray" The interior of the armoire retains ... morethe wood tone finish with a wash of transparent dark driftwood gray wood stain. The interior metal hardware is intact on the door and drawer as shown. The lock is in working condition and we also have the key.
