The piece also features a beautiful parquetry inlay around the base of the molding, of alternating dark and light tones, but there are quite a few of these tiny pieces missing.

Impressive Louis XV mahogany armoire or wardrobe. This large piece has tons of storage space behind its three doors. Mirrors with bevelled edges and ornately carved wooden panels give this piece an amazing decorative look. A gracefully curved top is capped by an intricately carved finial. Skirted fronts and short cabriole legs lift it off the ground and keep the armoire from feeling heavy despite its size. This piece can be dismantled for moving. Overall. The armoire is in good condition. The two side mirrors have some noticable silver loss. Example pictured. There are also some small dents and dings to the wood. This is a very nice 3 door wardrobe circa 1900. Made in France or Possibly Italy as a lot of there furniture were very similar. The condition is very good. Its pollard oak and walnut with satinwood marquetry inlay to each door to the side, as well as rosewood inlay. At some time to the back has had wood worm. It looks treated, but we have also treated it as well. lt comes in several part so its easy to transport. To the base it has brass feet and also to the top brass cups. The center has a drawer to the base. The the rest is all hanging space as well as the sides. The mirror is the original one which shows some specks with age. Measurements are 76 wide.83 high, 24 deep. We have the 3 keys for each door.

Three Door English Arts & Crafts Armoire c. 1911
MAKE ME AN OFFER! This is a rare example of English Arts& Crafts utilizing the classic Linen Scroll design which was used liberally in classic English architecture and design. Here. It embellishes a triple-wide armoire that was made in England for an estate in Belgium. We bought this piece through an antique dealer in Vancouver, BC who told us the history, and who had purchased the item in Belgium. He told us the piece was made around 1911 or so. We had this piece in the master bedroom of our Spanish Colonial home and it worked very well, but now we have downsized and it's time to let it go. The armoire is solid oak. With hand-hammered and hand-forged hardware. I do not have the skeleton keys for the locks. The main compartment features a shelf along the top and brass clothes rod for hanging clothes and functions extremely well as ... morean extra closet. The left compartment features adjustable shelves and has two drawers at the bottom(see pictures) There are two issues I need to disclose. Neither of which detract from the beauty or presentation of this piece. The left-most door is slightly warped(we puchased it this way) probably from being in Vancouver which is very damp, and so a small portion of the top of the door does not close flush with the rest of the armoire by about 3/8 inch. Also, the top-left most panel of the same door has experienced some shrinkage, hardly noticeable. Other than that. The piece is in excellent condition for being over 100 years old. We suggest blanket-wrapped shipping, but please note that like all antique armoires, it disassembles to move through hard-to-navigate areas within one's home, so there should be no worries about moving a piece this big after purchasing. VINTAGE 1930s ARMOIRE 2 DOOR WITH DRAWERS AND CLOTHES HANGER
This is an old vintage armoire that belonged to my grandparents. I can remember it in the attic in the 1950's where they left it when they moved to their retirement home at the shore. So they thought it was too old to take with them back then. It's a walnut color, but I'm pretty sure the wood is oak. Cosmetically, it's in good shape, though there's definite crazing on the doors, a sign of age. The rest of the piece shines up nicely and Old English makes the doors look awfully good despite the crazing. The armoire has two doors. Behind one is a set of drawers. Behind the other is a clothes hanger, so it will hold a bit of everything. It has metal wheels, so it will roll, but I'd recommend putting pads under the wheels if you have wood floors. Currently having several shelf papered covered shelves someone added to increase storage space, a new owner could have additional or shelves more appropriate to the age of the piece made if desired or it could simply be used for that always needed extra space to hang multiple jackets and store books, gloves, scarves and sporting equipment within a stylish yet functional old Victorian wardrobe, most recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland. This terrific four door closet stands 86 1/2 inches tall and measures 67 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches deep. Front to back. There are a total of three brass cloak hooks around the wall in each end closet as well a three ... moreprong hook in the center plus four along the wall and two more 3 prong hook's in the large center closet, with hooks for a total of 22 coats, jackets or scarves. The deep satiny finish is in excellent condition on mahogany. Bold lines and finely carved brackets and pulls are beautiful on this antique. The deep drawer has tiny hand cut dovetail joints. This functional furniture can be disassembled for easier moving. A lock and key in the door still operates. The mirror has a little crystalline"smoke" to show its age. Incredible French Carved Single Door. Mirrored, Armoire/Wardrobe. Incredible detail all over. This one is from the mid 1800's, I do not believe it has been refinished ever, looks all original to me. You will see a few age marks here and there, and a few flecks of veneer off along the bottom of the door. In the last picture you will see the door is open to the piece and the left hand side is seperated, this is because a tightening bolt is missing. These pieces break down in several pieces and have to be attached, the bolt that attaches the left side to the crown, or topper, is missing, I will get a new one and have it in there before it is delivered to a customer. Dragons, griffins, birds and fruit are lavishly sculpted in high relief by a master artisan. The old finish may be original and is very well preserved with minor mars on the bottom of this solid fine grained oak furniture. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina. Brass hardware and glass knobs are original, drawers have expertly hand cut dovetail joints. The original shaped and beveled mirror has"smoke" for character. There are gaps as shown between the doors from age shrinkage. This excellent quality French antique double door armoire in the Henri II style dates from c.1900. The armoire has been painted in Farrow and Ball'Pavillion Grey' with'All White' highlights. And has been given a soft wax finish. With some wonderful features including a carved removeable top with finials to each side. There are reeded columns either side of the decoratively carved panelled doors. With ornate brass locks to the doors and handles to the drawer. The interior can be fitted with adjustable shelves or can have a shelf with hanging rails from front to back. There is an additional useful drawer to the base. As with all our wooden items it has been fully treated with a woodworm preventative as a matter of course. There are some very minor knocks and bumps but this is in keeping with its age c1900. Double door with mirrors on each door Eastlake armoire. Has a piece on the inside that goes ontop. It was just too tall for the room. This is a used and sold as is.

Antique Walnut Armoire Book Matched Door Panels 1880-1899 All original no nails
A beautiful Antique ARMOIRE over 100 years old. In excellent condition. Solid Walnut with book matched door panels Measures 8 feet high x 5 feet wide x 22 inches deep. Each door is 23 1/2 inches wide. 2 draws on bottom. Built with no screws or nails held together with wood dowels and wedges. I have the original solid brass casters. Breaks down into 12 pieces easy to move. I don't know who made but there is marking on all pieces I can't make them out. The true color is like the top of the armoire.
