The sugar bowl& creamer are both signed, the name appears to possibly read C. Tappi. The sugar bowl is marked on the bottom with the underglaze green Ginori mark, the orange crown Ginori Italy mark, the hand painted in blue mark, the number 220 which is probably the pattern number. The creamer is marked as well(see photos) I believe this should date them to the 1800's. The sugar bowl measures approximately 6 inches(end of handle to handle) by 4 3/4 inches wide, 4 inches tall(to top of handle on the lid) The creamer measures approximately 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches wide, 3 inches tall. The sugar bowl& creamer are both in good condition for their old age; no chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs. There is some light scratching, wear to the gilding. The two pieces are in near perfect condition and carries a"Green Crown" mark. The creamer has a small chip in the bottom- about two pin heads big. Joan Van Patten's book"Van Pattern"s ABC's of Collecting Nippon" refers to this as the'Green Crown Mark#10' with'Hand Painted' in Red and'Nippon' in green below the crown. Circa 1891-1921.

Pitcher measures 4 3/4" tall and sugar bowl measures 5 3/4" tall and 6 3/4" wide including handles. The pieces have no breaks or repairs. The sugar bowl has a chip on the outer rim near the handle and has several brown specks. Lines, etc. The pitcher has tanned and has 3 chips on the rim and a chip on the foot. There are are tan spots on the rim where the porcelain wore off? This is an antique Bavarian sugar bowl and creamer with a white background. The upper half of both have a yellow/gold paint with a floral bouquet of assorted wild flowers. The top of both have a black trim with a black line separating the white bottom half and the yellow/gold top. The creamer also has a black trim on the handle and around top to the pourer. The sugar bowl lid is also hand painted with yellow/gold with black trim and white around the rest of the lid to the handle. There is 1 flaw: sugar bowl handle. Front left side, appears to have been cracked and then repaired. The crack can be seen but not felt. The rest if the sugar bowl and creamer do not have any other flaws. please see picture of handle* Very pretty set for its age.

For sale is this sugar and creamer set from Bavaria by the Z. S. Co. Pale greens with flowers in the center(which appear to be daisies) are hand painted I believe. They appear to be too irregular to be decals. The exterior finish is a matte finish but the handles and interior are glossy. On the bottom there is a stamp for the Z. S. Co. Bavaria. They are a very light china weighing under 5 ounces each. Measurements are approximately 4 3/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches high. Although unmarked I have seen this pattern listed as Altenburg Saxony Austria Germany which I am not sure is a company or a region or both. The sides of boht pieces have the iridescent pale blue background rand raised white textured figures which appear to be children at play. The four scenes on the four sides are all different. The hand painting is in immaculate shape as is the rest of the bowl. The sugar bowl is 4" x 3" oval x 2 1/4" tall. The creamer is 5" x 2 3/4" oval counting the handle. It is also 2 1/4" tall. The mark on the rear indicates this bowl was manufactured between 1929 and 1938 at the business of Kuno Steinmann. This listing is for a Scarce Old Antique Pink/Rose and Gold Lusterware Hand Painted Sugar and Creamer Set. I am not sure of the age of this piece but it is very old and also not aware of the maker. It has a beautiful patina with amethyst/rose/gold colors and a wreath of leaves and terrific country scenery. The sugar bowl measures 7.25" wide from handle to handle and is 4.5" tall including handle and is unfortunately missing the lid. The creamer measures 6" wide x 4.5" tall including handle. The sugar bowl has only one minute chip on the inside rim and only minute crazing and for the lack of a better term"age spots" on the sides that do not interfere with the scenery and very minor paint loss. The creamer has no chips. Cracks and it looks as though the bottom of the handle had a slight crack that someone repaired ... morebut does not affect the strength or integrity.the interior of the creamer has lots of"age spots" and some minor crazing. There is also an impression under the glaze: 1190/4 I checked a pattern 1190 and it is not the same. Creamer and Sugar dish are in very good shape considering the age. There is some fading of color. I am offering this gorgeous antique porcelain creamer and sugar bowl made by German manufacturer. KPM. Both pieces are painted in a deep maroon color and have beautifully painted pink flowers. Embedded in a circular setting, on top of some sort of hues of a pearl-based color that gives it a uniqueness that is hard to find. The pearl-based color also adorns the outside of the creamer spout. They both have embroidered gold painted rims. Including the sugar bowl top, which shows off its dynamic quality. This set will surely bring joy to any table set for tea or coffee and crumpets. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive to buy than our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. This is a very rare and unique creamer with lid and sugar in a fabulous art deco style. The background glaze is a light pink sponge over a white body. The hand painted floral is of a geometric style in black. Grays and offset with a deep rosy pink& bright yellow. Backstamp ~ Ridgways. Sunshine Ware. England. These were hand thrown on a wheel as the throw lines are seen to both interiors. Made with a red clay.
