Beautiful vintage/antique teapot/coffeepot by Jamestown China. Makes a nice gift or collectible. The bottom also indicates it was made in China for Action Industries Inc. There are no noticeable cracks or chips that I can see. Some of the gold trim is slightly faded in some areas. But it is still there. I tried showing this in the photos. The pot measures about 9" tall from bottom to top of lid and about 9" wide from edge of handle to end of spout. If you have any other questions. Please ask before buying. Offered is this antique hand woven coverlet piece in golden brown and cream with original handtag that reads Allanstand Cottage Industries 6 Government St. Exchange for Mountain Handicraft Asheville. N.C. The pattern name Zion Rose* is handwritten on the bottom of the tag. And the price is shown as $1.25. This piece measures about 15 1/2" high by 16" wide plus 2 1/4" of fringe on two sides. It is in excellent, unused condition with no stains or damage of any kind. Allanstand Cottage Industries was founded by Frances Louisa Goodrich in 1908(see additional information below) We believe this homespun woven piece to be early 19th century. Additional information: Allanstand Cottage Industries took its name from its original location along a remote crossroads near the North Carolina-Tennessee state line. Originally a Presbyterian mission, the unexpected gift of a hand-woven, pre-Civil War coverlet inspired the transformation of the mission into a cottage industry. Allanstand Cottage Industries commissioned a wide variety of traditional handwork, including woven coverlets and rugs, brooms, baskets, chairs, and dolls. While some handcrafted products were sold locally, many were sold as mail order products through the Presbyterian church. Fortunately, the market remained“ahead of the possible supply, encouraging craft production. In 1908, Allanstand founder Frances Louisa Goodrich(1856-1944) opened a shop in downtown Asheville where she could take advantage of residential and tourist traffic. On offer is an old bullet pencil that has advertising for the Minnesota State Prison Industries. Stillwater, Minnesota. It measures 3 1/2 inches and has signs of wear as expected but no real damage. It is dark brown with gold lettering and trademarks and a med brown cap. I do not know what material it is but it looks sort of like Bakelite. Starting in the 1859s the Minnesota State Prison in Stillwater, Minnesota started leasing out workshop areas and allowing the prisoners to work in them for a small amount per hour. In 1890 the prison started manufacturing twine and by 1937 up to 600 prisoner's were involved in twine production. The photos are close up and high definition. I combine shipping. Antique Remco Industries Toy Duck With Quacker
Antique toy duck made by Remco industries Inc. from Harrison New Jersey. The duck is in fairly good shape for its age and includes a battery cover and a quacker! Antique Classic Orchard Industries Fishing Rods & Shakespeare reels
Here being listed is a pair of quality made" Orchard Industries Action Rods" fishing rods. Purhcased at Lippmans sporting goods in Detroit in the late 40's. They are steel 55" long with burgundy/white bakelite handles. Both Rods have matching Shakespeare 1920 Wondereels. Model GE. These items do show some age, but are in overall very good condition.
