Antique Globe Wernicke Oak Map Blueprint Cabinet 5 Sections x 5 Drawers - Rare!
This is a RARE find. I am simply not going to get to all the"projects" I have acquired and this deserves to be cherished and used! This is a set of 5 Globe Wernicke Map- Blueprint Oak Cabinets each with 5 drawers. Will NOT sell individually. These were acquired from a university and clearly were used in a Department of Agriculture(they have the USDA inventory stickers still attached)office prior to be used in the university setting. I date their age to be 1920s or perhaps the mid 30's. These were clearly utility pieces. I recovered paperwork from the USDA from 1930 thru the 1950's. These were made when furniture was meant to be used for many. Many years and was not meant to be a disposable item. They are solid wood with dovetailed joints. While they are structurally very sound and solid(one drawer front was broken& glue ... morerepaired) they need some serious TLC and updating of handles- I will leave that to the new owner. I was planning to more thoroughly clean, sand, stain in a darker tone for consistency& replace handles with vintage bin pulls: of course, the new owner may decide to do more or less depending on preference. They could be painted( or even used almost as is. Overall dimensions each cabinet 33" wide x 13 1/4" high x 25" deep. All 5 units are approximately 66" high. It has 5 drawers and 2 cabinets that could hold plenty of DVDs. Top drawer is divided and lined with brown felt as it was used to hold silverware. Warm brass handles are all intact but could use a cleaning. Measures 54 inches wide. 33 1/2 inches tall, 20 inches deep. Cabinets are 11 inches wide. In good vintage condition. It has been some time since I have had this model of Harvard quarter sawn oak dental cabinet. This is a very high grade cabinet with two tambours(roll tops) and six swing out trays along with five drawers(of varying size) This dental case is entirely original-handles(brass and oak) Fancy top, and finish(the finish is smooth, even, and pretty-a couple minors stains to inside of top tambour surface) Note the extra fancy gallery with applied carvings and spindle wheels. The sides and back(also finished) are paneled and incised. All the drawers, trays, and both tambours work easily. I also have both of the original keys. There was a front panel door covering the drawers at one point which is now gone. The top has been refinished to cover old stains which are still somewhat visible. There is general wear to the wood. But everything other than the top has the original surface patina. The knobs are some kind of early plastic and while all are intact. Some have a little damage. The drawers are all made from large cigar boxes from Pittsburgh, PA. Most o the dividers are gone from the drawers. Circa late 1800s to early 1900s. Vintage industrial 5 drawers cabinet maps blueprints
Up for sale is 1 of 2 metal cabinets for sale. They are pretty big and heavy. The base of the cabinets are 28" deep. 17-1/2" tall and 41" wide. The drawers are approx. 26" deep, 2-1/2" tall and 37-3/4" wide. The drawers are easy to remove and put back in. They have pivoting flaps at the fronts probably to hold blueprints or maps in place. The cabinets were a dark green but have been painted gray. Some of the drawers have a little and some have a lot of gray paint. That paint applies also to the fronts sides and backs. There is wear and tear, magic markers writing and dings. They would be great functional pieces or industrial/steampunk decorative as we. Please see pictures for condition. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY! Up for auction today is a Vintage Singer Sewing machine DRAWERS. It has the 2 drawes and frames for each side and the center drawer. The center drawer is mostly just the front part with no mounts. Wood Doll Dresser 2 Drawers- 5 x 7"-1960's
by adding my eBay Store to your Favorites. Offered is a Wood Doll Dresser with 2 Drawers. Dresser measurers 5" wide and 7" in heighth. Front of dresser shows 4 drawers but there are 2 large drawers. with round metal pulls. There is no manufacturer mark. I don't believe this is a handmade box. Appears to be a 1960 type(pre-plastic era) In good condition with a wood finish that can be polished. This little box could be used for many different things. Vintage Wood Wooden 4 lines Drawers etched glass Door Jewelry Box This vintage wood jewelry box is in excellent condition; no damage noted. It stands approx. 9 1/2" tall x 8 3/4 wide 4 3/4" deep; weighs 3.50 lbs There are 4 drawers on the left with etched designs and pull knobs. Each drawer is approx. 2.75" wide x 3.5" deep x 1.5" tall. One drawer has slots for rings as shown; Two drawers are open. The magnetic glass door on the right has etched glass looking flower and stem. VNTG WOODEN JEWELRY/MUSIC BOX W/GLASS DOOR, 5 DRAWERS NICELY MADE PLAYS FEELINGS
12-2/4" x 9.5" x 5" 1/2"H x 6 3/4" Box is real wood with velvet lining. Nicely crafted, wood joints mitered together well. The hinges and hardware are brass, lining is nicely mitered to the inside of the box. Plays"Feelings" a song from the 70's, when the 4th drawer is opened. This drawer is a ring drawer. The wood has a nice patina. Not sure of the wood variety but the color stain is a warm mahogany brown and the lining is silver grey(not metallic) Drawers fit nicely, kind of looks like a piece of furniture. Re COLOR: I photographed it in both day and evening light to try to show the mahogany stain which is not quite as reddish as the one with white background. And not quite as brown as the darker one. More like the reddish one. Practical use as a dresser top box to hold small electronic gear or personal ... morevaluables. Keys or just as a 70's collectible.
