These lantern are heavy weight 950 Sterling Silver. The craftsman ship is excellent. They have been stored for years in the original wood box and I do not believe they were ever used. Each stands 3 3/4" in height on a three footed base. They are marked Sterling 950. The top unscrews as pictured for filling. There is still a label attached to the box that reads OKUBO BROTHERS Tokyo. Japan. I believe these were probably brought back from Japan i after World War II. The pair weighs between 59 and 60 grams. They are both in excellent condition. I did not polish and will leave that to the new owner. They will polish up beautifully. Safely packed delivery will be FREE. ANTIQUE ASIAN SHAKER W/ SILVERPLATE TOP & COBALT BLUE PORCELAIN BODY W/ POPPIES
This is a beautiful antique Asian inspired shaker with hand painted orange poppies all around the body along with poppy leaves painted in gold on a gorgeous cobalt blue body. The shaker cap is marked e.p.n.s. and has unusual patter of cutouts in the shape of diamonds. Circles and exclamation marks[ for lack of a better description] in the silver metal top. The cutouts are to large for a shaker. So am unsure as to what the original purpose for the shaker was, possibly a coarser grained material. The top fits very tightly and I was able to remove it to inspect the inside but did not put it all the way back on. The inside is in great condition and I did not find any residue of any substance within the body. The bottom of the body of the shaker is crazed as you can see from the pictures and has the makers marks of a gold crown and rope in a pretzel ... moreshape along with numbers. The cobalt blue body does not have crazing. Where the porcelain meets the silver on the body there are a number of bead-like decorations on the porcelain. The measurements are 5 1/8 in. tall and the base is 1 3/4 in. across.

Kewpie Boy & Girl Salt & Pepper shakers, Bisque
These adorable shakers are in bisque. The girl is perfect but the boy has been repaired. Hard to tell but it looks like the head and his right arm have glue around them. He is also missing his thumb and little finger on that hand. Whoever repaired him did a good job. I can't see a crack on his neck but there is glue there. They are 3 1/2 inches tall. Good luck

Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers
Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers Offered for auction is this unusal salt and pepper shaker set. What makes this set unusual is that these pieces appear to have been porcelain blanks to be painted by the Victorian lady of the house. Painting porcelain pieces was a very popular hobby at the end of the 19th century and into the early 20th century. The salt shaker which has slighty larger holes is delicately painted in a pale green and pink floral design. The pepper shaker. With very slightly smaller holes, is unpainted. The pottery that made the blanks is not known. These were from an estate sale so we will never know why only one of this set is painted and the other is not. Maybe the painter fell ill or just did not like ... morethis hobby well enough to paint two. The salt and pepper shaker is each about 2 5/8 inches high. Each of these were sealed with a tiny cork which is missing. Replacement corks can be found on the internet. There are no chips. Cracks, or crazing. Important Information I am in the process of selling objects which I have collected over many years of attending estate auctions. These items are mostly older collectibles and books including kitchen collectibles and cookbooks. Asian items, and many assorted items that simply need to go at this point. I try to research the history of these items and to carefully describe them but I am no expert and do not claim to be one. This listing is for a lovely hand painted. Meissen(Dresden) Franziska Hirsch salt and pepper shaker set. Porcelain artist Franziska Hirsch operated a porcelain studio in Dresden from 1893 until 1930. She was known for utilizing the Meissen style of decorating with her exquisite paintings of flower bouquets. The set is decorated with beautifully detailed floral bouquets, swags and gold lattice designs. Each shaker measures 2- 1/2 inches in height and 2- 1/8 inches wide at the broadest area. The set is in very good condition. There are no cracks. Chips, repairs, scratches or staining. There is unglazed roughness to the bottoms of the shakers with a couple of flea bite chips. Antique Ceramic Salt & Pepper Shakers Handpainted Limoges Style possibly Japan?
A charming set of very old salt and pepper shakers that measure 2.5" x 2" They are still functioning. But the holes are larger than modern shakers so need to use coarse salt and pepper rather than the boxed. This pair is not pristine. It shows its age and wear. The base of one is slightly cracked and there are aging spots throughout. The corks are not original and not interchangeable as the openings are different sizes. Each shaker has a chip under the rim. I've included many untouched photos. The condition is very visible in these. I am guessing these are from the early part of the last century based on others I've seen. They probably are Japanese, though they do not have any markings. Again, I am only guessing based on previous items I've seen listed for sale, I am not an expert. A beautiful English Porcelain/enamel Condiment set with stand from 1900c
On auction I have an Antique English Porcelain/enamel Condiment set with the silver plate stand. All the pieces are decorated with flowers in cloisonne enamel. Look at the pictures. Salt and Pepper pots are 3 1/2" tall. Mustard pot measures 1 1/3" X 2 1/2" X 1 3/4" It measures 6 3/4" tall with the stand. They are all hand marked# 368 under the glaze. Look at the pictures. There is also factory mark on the bottom but I can't read it. Look at the picture# 6. Set comes with the spoon. Measures 4" long with 800 silver mark. Bottom of the stand is a maker mark Deykin and Harrison Birmingham England. Condiment set is from 1900 Century. Overall set is very good condition for its age. This is a very pretty little vintage set of bone china salt and pepper shakers. One has a pink rose on top and the other may be a pink carnation. One of the leaves is broke off on the carnation shaker(see picture 4) They are 1-1/2" high and the base is 1-1/2" in diameter. They still have their original stoppers which are marked England Pat. 9 No. 439062. The china part is also marked very faintly in green England.
