Antique White opalescent Salt & pepper shakers hand blown Northwood Co. 5"
Up for auction isa pair of antique white opalescent salt& pepper shakers. They have been hand blown by the Northwood Co in the early 1900's. The pattern is called striped. It is part of a condiment set. The tops are orginal and they stand 5" tall. The sides are square and the bottom is round to fit in the set. These are very rare. I have had antique dealers looking for peices to match it. If you want something different for your collection this might be what you are looking for. There is a chip on the bottom of one of them and it is pictured.

ANTIQUE SALT CELLARS Fine Bone China LOT of 5 Hand Painted Rose Flowers Gold Trm
These individual exquisite salt cellars are made of the finest bone china- they're almost translucent. Salt cellars were used in fancy homes before salt shakers. Each place setting had its own salt cellar with a little bit of salt in the bowl that could be pinched and added to the food by the diner. They are hand-painted with delicate rose flowers. With yellow centers, green leaves, and gold trim. The detail is incredible and my camera does not capture how delicate fine the painting is. Please be sure to zoom in on the photos. Each has 3 toes(feet) that are in perfect shape and each toe is even highlighted in fine gold paint. There are no maker's mark on them so it's hard to tell exactly how old they are or where they came from for sure. But they did come from a family of German heritage. They are probably from Austria or Germany ... moreand date to the mid-1800's by my best guess. I'm also selling a similar set with Violet colored flowers in the same perfect condition.

This is an antique salt and pepper birds. Possibly storks. They look cartoonish and playful. They are 5" shakers. CUTE AND COLORFUL. They have cork stoppers. Label on the botton says Jspan.
