A few things that make these so Rare is the Stein Style Shakers. They are hard to come by. These are dated around the 1920's due to the fact of the blue Noritake stamped emblem on the bottom. Some of these type emblems come in blue. Green, or red. The M in the middle of the wreath is for the Morimura Bros. Meaning items with the M in the middle started in the year 1916. Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers Offered for auction is this unusal salt and pepper shaker set. What makes this set unusual is that these pieces appear to have been porcelain blanks to be painted by the Victorian lady of the house. Painting porcelain pieces was a very popular hobby at the end of the 19th century and into the early 20th century. The salt shaker which has slighty larger holes is delicately painted in a pale green and pink floral design. The pepper shaker. With very slightly smaller holes, is unpainted. The pottery that made the blanks is not known. These were from an estate sale so we will never know why only one of this set is painted and the other is not. Maybe the painter fell ill or just did not like ... morethis hobby well enough to paint two. The salt and pepper shaker is each about 2 5/8 inches high. Each of these were sealed with a tiny cork which is missing. Replacement corks can be found on the internet. There are no chips. Cracks, or crazing. Important Information I am in the process of selling objects which I have collected over many years of attending estate auctions. These items are mostly older collectibles and books including kitchen collectibles and cookbooks. Asian items, and many assorted items that simply need to go at this point. I try to research the history of these items and to carefully describe them but I am no expert and do not claim to be one. If you feel that I have missed something or am in error in any way, just let me know and I will correct the problem. My hope is that these objects which I have loved will find a good home with you. Beautiful vintage salt and pepper shakers with windmills handpainted on side. Has gold finish on top. One has most of the gold. And the other shows some gold wear( probably was the salt shaker) The bottom corks are missing. But I think replacements can be bought at a craft store, usually plastic. The one with the gold wear has a hairline crack. Shown in photo 4. It is smooth to the touch, however, and will not affect its performance as a salt shaker. Approx 2.75" tall.

Salt and Pepper.3-5/8" in height. 2-1/4" in diameter of base. Toothpick Holder.2-1/4" in height and 1-5/8" in diameter. Tray.5-5/16" in diameter. Salt. Pepper and Tray are marked Made in Japan while the Toothpick holder is marked Bavaria. All pieces coordinate in a hand-painted dogwood pattern. They still retain their cork stoppers. A pair of antique porcelain Art Nouveau salt shakers. Beautifully hand painted with flowers and a gold gilt top. Measures 2" high. Both shakers are painted on all four sides. They have 9 holes at the top and no stoppers in the bottom. There are no markings; many of these types of shakers came from Bavaria. They are both in excellent condition; no chips or cracks. Vintage Porcelain Condiment Set This lovely vintage condiment set has an open salt well. A pepper shaker. A mustard compartment with a slotted lid and a mustard spoon. It is hand painted with lots of tiny blue flowers and is gold trimmed. The set has a ring handle. The pepper shaker is missing it's cork. On the bottom are the numbers"68/2938" written in gold. Vintage Hand-Painted. Footed Hard Paste Porcelain Muffineer- Sugar Shaker This is a beautiful sugar shaker which is made of white paste porcelain. The floral designs are hand painted in vibrant blue and yellow with a warm pink background. It also has a gold trim along the feet and around the rim. This shaker is in good condition and there are no chips. Cracks, or other issues that I can find, other than the wear on the gold trim, which one would expect if it was an antique and used often. The muffineer is 3.75 inches wide at its widest, 4.25 inches tall with the feet, and 3.75 inches tall from top to bottom without the feet. The face is 2.25 inches in diameter. I do not know where it was made. But based on the shape, the painting quality, and the usage pattern on the trim, I believe it was made between 1890 and 1920, probably in central Europe. ... moreIf you have any questions. Antique Art Nouveau style porcelain salt& pepper set. As pictured. Hand painted with roses and guilded tops. One shaker is marked Germany, as shown in closeup. Tops look rough in 1 corner each, but gold covers it; Doesn't appear they were touched up, so I am guessing they were flawed when manufactured. Also, lines of decoration have a few skips in them I believe were in original paint job too. It appears one of the 2 cork stoppers has been replaced as it is larger than the other and is chipped on the end. Each shaker measures about 3 1/4" tall. Sold as is. Thanks for your interest!

Vintage Hand Painted Salt/Pepper Shakers Floral Porcelain silver ring around top
This delicate looking salt and pepper set is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. The salt shaker has the original cork inside, the pepper shaker is missing the cork. I am not a collector, selling stuff from uncles estate. The silver ring around the top really sets this set off, very pretty. Also the holes in the top make a P and S, very cute! There is a small drip of something on the side of the pepper shaker, it will not come off. Please look at the pictures closely so you can see all the details. Found this porcelain salt and pepper set packed away with my parents things. They belonged to my grandmother. They are signed with initials at the bottom on the sides. Looks like an F. H. or F. M. Each has a tiny nick at one of the holes on top. Hardly noticeable. Beautiful little set.
