Vintage Porcelain Condiment Set This lovely vintage condiment set has an open salt well. A pepper shaker. A mustard compartment with a slotted lid and a mustard spoon. It is hand painted with lots of tiny blue flowers and is gold trimmed. The set has a ring handle. The pepper shaker is missing it's cork. On the bottom are the numbers"68/2938" written in gold. By the way the numbers are written. I believe the set was made in Germany. It measures 4 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/2" high. This vintage condiment set is in excellent condition. There are no chips. Marked Bavaria, Are decorated with an embossed bird and floral pattern, the nearest that I can date them is 1900 up to 1914, These were made for export from Bavaria. I do not have a way to test the gold. These salt and pepper shakers are in excellent condition, with no cracks' or chips there is a small spot of gold loss as shown in the last picture, spot measures 3mm, I do not believe the corks to be original to the set. approximately 3 1/2 inches high.

This auction is for a cute. Vintage pair of 3.5" tall antique Japanese wood kokeshi doll salt and pepper shakers. These shakers are post World War 2- mid-century- 1950's era, and they sit inside of a wooden holder. Both shakers are decorated with hand painted pictures of green bamboo stalks and leaves, and the base is made from real bamboo. The kokeshi doll"heads" fit snugly and pull out to fill them. The female(salt) has 1 hold opening, while the male(pepper) has 3 holes/openings. This pair of wood kokeshi doll salt and pepper shakers is in good vintage condition- with some natural uneven aging of the wood so one shaker is lighter in color than the other- and they would make a great addition to your growing collection. This is a darling set and is perfect for the collector or tea parties. The basket is 1 1/2 inches deep. Made of real straw and has a handle- It is 5 inches long and 4 inches wide. The sugar and creamer are flat on one side so they can fit close together in the basket. The flat side measures 3x3. They are 3 1/2 inches deep; they measure 1 1/2 x 3 inches. The salt and pepper shakers are 4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches in diameter. They have plastic stoppers. The bottom half of all peices is brown and the top half is tan with brown trees. They are in perfect shape except for a tiny chip on the bottom edge of one salt shaker.

Wonderful antique fine porcelain salt& pepper shakers are fully hallmarked. Measure 3" tall x 1.5" diameter at widest point. Floral golds& greenery on background of beiges& eggshell. Tops are richly coated in gold. One shaker has the Hallmark Letter K. Marked Bavaria on 1& hallmarked with the crown& Vienna Austria on other. Have pictured best I could of the 1 marking. Good antique condition with no issues. Hallmarks like this were used between 1890-1910. Corks stoppers on bottom have disintegrated after over 100 plus years being stored.

Each shaker has 5 holes in the top. We inherited these from mother a few years ago and know that there are salt and pepper shaker collections that these might be added to. We are not aware of when mother first got them, but suspect it was late 1930's to somewhere in the early 1950's. We expect that they were used due to everything that was owned in those years was used. The cork stoppers are missing, except in one there is a soft rattle that indicates part of the original cork stopper is inside the shaker. These black and white telephones salt and pepper shakers are of the Pennsylvania Dutch or Amish. A group of immigrants from Germany and Switzerland who came in the 17th and 18th centuries on Pennsylvania. Made of metal. There is paint wear on some areas. Both have old corks in them, which have been painted over so these have been repainted at some time. They have long lashes and their opened big mouths show their tongues. They wear pastel colored clothes and hats.One is labeled with'S' for salt and other with'P' for pepper. Lancaster Ltd. Hanley Porcelain Salt and Pepper Shakers
This rare. Collectible Lancaster Ltd. Hanley salt and pepper shaker set features a charming olde English countryside scenery pattern transferred onto porcelain and EPNS(Electro-Plate Nickel Silver) tops. The tops show an extremely slight tarnish on the lower edges that surround the porcelain that is hardly noticeable and yet, validates their approximate age. If I were to try to place the date of the scenery. I would guess the artist was portraying the 18th century- maybe 1757. 200 years, give or take a few decades, before you and I were born. It's not as difficult to guess the location of the scenery. Because Lancaster& Sons(Ltd. was a manufacturer of earthenware at the Dresden works in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent in England. They created their porcelain and pottery pieces from 1899- 1944. My grandmother acquired these in the late 1920's ... morefrom her mother. I know they meant something to her because I found them in her down-sized senior citizen kitchen while sorting her worldly goods after her passing in August of 2000.
