Sitting in an old windsor chair(included, unsure of age) ... moreI believe she was made in Germany around the mid to late 1800s. The back of shoulders seems only to be marked with a mold number"7. though I haven't removed her sewn-on clothes to have a thorough look. She has molded, black painted hair in the"flat top" style. Her face is exquisite; sweetly blushing cheeks, and delicate painted details on face: slender arched eyebrows, lidded blue eyes, rosebud lips. I assume this is her original body- cloth torso and limbs stuffed with mohair(I believe) and limbs that were once(now only partially) kid leather. She wears several layers of undergarments-pantaloons and slip and a long printed cotton dress with lace trim. Her head is in very good condition. With only light scuffs and wear to the paint. Her body has some loose and/or open seams, and some discoloration. One leather hand is tattered, the other is completely gone. Her leather boots are pretty much gone, as is one cloth foot. Her dress is yellowed, extremely fragile and shredded in spots. She was found at an estate sale sitting in the chair, which is included in the auction. Antique German Salt Box marked on the bottom Germany and a mark of a triangle within a triangle(sorry but my camera can't pick up a clear image of the mark) Top is hinged wood and there is hole in the top for hanging. Measures approx, 6" X 6" The porcelain has staining and needs a good cleaning but I leave that to the collector. Some minor chips but my camera can't pick them up. Offered for your collecting pleasure is this wonderful antique porcelain open salt/ open salt and pepper for your table. I found this in the eastern region of France. I have brought back many great items from that area so Be sure to add me to your! This lovely set of two white porcelain pigs with black ears are hand painted. Unsigned and no country of origin. These were made before the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891. They measure just over 3 inches long from nose to tail and about 3 inches wide. It stands 2.25 inches tall with handle. Antique Salt Box Porcelain Blue Windmills Gold Trim Wood Top German/Scandinavian
~ Antique Salt Box ~ This listing is for an antique porcelain salt box. The white box has a fancy raised design with angled front corners and a decorative cornice on the front edge. The front has a blue windmill and house scene. Gold details on the cornice and edges, and a word in gold that could be"Salt" or"Salz" the gold script is very old and faded, and I'm not sure what it says. The sides have smaller versions of the wind mill scene. The hinged top is shaped to match the shape of the box. The backing is also wood with a carved design. A hole in the backing was used for hanging it on the wall. NOTE: the backside of the wood backing doesn't look too good as apparently it wasn't taken down when the kitchen was painted. And there are a lot of paint drips on it. The inside of the box is stained and dirty. The ... morebacking is held on by 2 short nuts and bolts. And wood washers. NOTE: there is a hairline crack above the top bolt(see photo) A lot of the gold is worn and faded; some is totally gone. Some of it is still there and in good shape. They both are a pumpkin orange color& both have a bow around their necks knotted in the back. Both have white triangular looking eyes with jet black pupils. They are both seated on their haunches with th eir big paws in front of them. Their ears are somewhat droopy or a bit floppy! They both have short stubby tails. Too! These were made between 1890-1920, after that they had to mark"Made in Germany" Each features two little birds perched with their wings outstreached on either side of the wicker weave basket decorated with a rose. Small flowers and rose buds with green leaves. I looked each one over and found no chips. The only thing I did find was a hairline on the inside of one of the baskets which is normal with antique porcelain this old. see photo. Antique/Primitive/Collectable Salt Box - German!

It measures approximatley 6" Tall x 4.5" Wide x 3.5" Deep. It has zero chips or cracks or breakage. It has just a bit of wear on its gold paint in front on top. It is stamped on bottom Made In Germany inside a circle. It also has the number 2805 stamped into it on the bottom. The lid is securely hinged and opens and closes freely. Hello and welcome to my auctions. Up for auction is a sweet figural set of salt& pepper shakers/pots. They are a Hollander gentleman& a Hollander lady. He is standing around smoking his dark orange colored pipe while she is cooking up a storm with her long handled melon yellow spoon in hand. He has light blue lustre ware balloon style pants with a matching hat. He has a long sleeved white shirt& a pumpkin orange tie around his neck. He is wearing jet black shoes. She is wearing a jet black long sleeved dress with a white apron& matching Dutch hat with navy blue polka dots. The bottom of her apron has a red design on it. Both have rosy cheeks. Red lips, dark eyes& light brown one stroke eyebrows. Both have sandy blonde hair. He has 7 pour holes& she has 5 larger ones. Photo 9. Both are stamped on the bottom in a circle"Germany. ... morePhoto 10. She is i ncised on her bottom porcelain with her model number"3876. Last photo. I have washed both& placed cork stoppers in them. They are an adorable couple that I doubt was ever used or used very little indeed! This sweet set has no chips. Cracks, damage, or restoration anywhere. There is very little paint wear on either one. Th ey measure approximately 2 1/8 inches high. All measurements taken at longest/widest/highest points. Please feel free to e-mail with any questions or for more photos.
