They have been cleaned and polished. They are both stamped on the bottom with their anchor hallmark and Gorham Co. with 0605 and Silver S. They have the typical"spade" design around the lower edge. They both have the star shaped holes in the tops. They are in very good condition. A slight dent is discernible on one of the shakers. The based show some plate wear. Both tops fit firmly and are easy to take off and put back on. The shakers measure approximately 3” tall and are about 1 ¼” in diameter at the bases. Their weight is of little consequence because they will not scrap out as silver. Hence the low starting bid. The will still nonetheless make a wonderful addition to a holiday table setting. The shakers are 2-3/4" high by 3-1/4" long and DO NOT have their cork stoppers.Each shaker is marked Japan with a copyright symbol on the left side below the bend of the elves' knees. No chips. Cracks, or flakes but there is some crazing. There is a very small mark on the back of one of the elves, it is barely noticeable. There are a few minor imperfections here and there, but these pieces are VERY NICE considering they are 80-90 years old!

These lantern are heavy weight 950 Sterling Silver. The craftsman ship is excellent. They have been stored for years in the original wood box and I do not believe they were ever used. Each stands 3 3/4" in height on a three footed base. They are marked Sterling 950. The top unscrews as pictured for filling. There is still a label attached to the box that reads OKUBO BROTHERS Tokyo. Japan. I believe these were probably brought back from Japan i after World War II. The pair weighs between 59 and 60 grams. They are both in excellent condition. I did not polish and will leave that to the new owner. They will polish up beautifully. Safely packed delivery will be FREE. Sweet little terrier pups"Made in Japan" Possibly based on the Bonzo comic book character ceramic salt and pepper shakers. I'M PEP" and I'M SALT" states each figure on the chest. Decorative gilt on each paw with one black ear and one orange ear each and red lips/tongue. The pepper shaker has smaller openings on the top while the salt has larger. Cute expressive painted face detail. Condition is good overall. Several cracks in the glazing and manufacturing flaws such as areas where the ceramic looks split or feels rough to the touch from excess ceramic pieces. A few worn areas of paint. Bottom finish of Squaw has missing paint and is dark pottery. Wood Corks are in very good condition. Both pieces has JAPAN printed in Black Ink. The crevices of both pieces has the old aged stain(not crazing but dirty stain) should be cleaned but I will not do that. As I do not know what to use. No other damage found, just the aged staining and bottom of squaw I already mentioned. She has P on her front dress; he has S on left pant leg and both have 3 shaker holes in back. Antique Salt Box Porcelain Blue Windmills Gold Trim Wood Top German/Scandinavian
~ Antique Salt Box ~ This listing is for an antique porcelain salt box. The white box has a fancy raised design with angled front corners and a decorative cornice on the front edge. The front has a blue windmill and house scene. Gold details on the cornice and edges, and a word in gold that could be"Salt" or"Salz" the gold script is very old and faded, and I'm not sure what it says. The sides have smaller versions of the wind mill scene. The hinged top is shaped to match the shape of the box. The backing is also wood with a carved design. A hole in the backing was used for hanging it on the wall. NOTE: the backside of the wood backing doesn't look too good as apparently it wasn't taken down when the kitchen was painted. And there are a lot of paint drips on it. The inside of the box is stained and dirty. The ... morebacking is held on by 2 short nuts and bolts. And wood washers. NOTE: there is a hairline crack above the top bolt(see photo) A lot of the gold is worn and faded; some is totally gone. Some of it is still there and in good shape. Measures approximately 5-7/8" tall without the cornice; 6-3/4" to the top of the cornice; 4" front to back. And 4-3/4" side to side. The wooden backing is 11-3/4" tall. Vintage Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shakers from Japan Before WWII
Here is a Vintage Pair of Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shakers from Japan. They are Miniuature. Standing about 1 1/2 inches tall. The Shakers are Hand Painted and have what appears to be Gold leaf on the tops and sides. They have Hand Painted Flower Designs on 2 of the 4 sides. The other 2 sides have a Gold Leaf Design. The Tops have Stars in Gold. They both have cork stoppers on the bottom and they look like the originals. The Word Japan is Hand Painted in Red on the Bottoms of both. This Dates them to before WWII, after that everything was marked Made in Japan not just Japan. I have not been able to identify the maker or the exact age but I think they may be from the 1920's or 30's. They are Really Cute and Very Collectible!

Workingmen, and ill children– holds a fish under his arm. Benten– the goddesss of music, arts, beauty, and water– plays a biwa lute. Both Ebisu and Benten are one of the Seven Gods of Fortune in Japanese folklore. The Ebisu shaker measures about 2 3/4” high. And Benten measures about 2 1/2” high. Ebisu has a chip just above his forehead. Both shakers have some wear to the enamel and gilt. There are no stoppers.

Lot of three antique blue and white salt and pepper shakers. Two are a set. The third is a single. The set of two depicts an Asian design and are marked Japan on the bottom. The other markings on the bottom of this pair of salt and pepper shakers is not legible. They are 3 1/4 inches tall. The single blue and white round shaker has no marking on the bottom. It is two and three-quarter inches tall. The stopper cork is missing from the bottom of all three. Nice condition. It is not my intention to profit from shipping. Antique P L Limoges France Salt Pepper Shakers Hand Painted Artist Signed Porcelain Description ~ this is a lovely set of Limoges porcelain salt& pepper shakers with their original cork stoppers. They are hand painted and signed by an amateur artist in pastel blue flowers that are outlined with green foliage and offset with small touches of yellow and red. The tops are painted in a full clean gold and the shape is of a simple and elegant rectangle. Both are marked with a green underglaze P L Limoges France. This is a La Porcelaine Limousine mark. Condition ~ is excellent to mint. This set is extremely clean. The decoration is full and bright. I have not removed the cork stoppers and do not know if they still hold any salt or pepper. The artist signature is on the edge of one shaker and the only possible faults would be a couple of tiny ... morepits from manufacturing in a couple of discrete areas. Mark ~ the mark on both shakers was the first factory mark used by La Porcelaine Limousine from 1905 into the 1930’s. This company was formed by P.
