They are marked"950 Sterling" on the bottom. The shakers feature a Japanese Boy holding a fan in his hand and the little girl shaker is holding a fan in the shape of a horse head. The detail is exceptional and both children are wearing Mon flowered robes. The little girl would be the salt shaker and the little boy is the pepper shaker. There are sliding doors on the bottoms for fill ing. They each stand about 2" in height. I have shown photos of all sides. The only thing I noticed was one tiny dimple on the little girls head. I lightly wiped off with a silver polishing cloth and they still retain the original patina. Total weight i s 32.4 grams. They are both in very good estate condition. The salt shaker has seven holes at the top and the pepper shaker has three smaller holes. A lovely set to add to any collection. I do not know if they were ever used. Hand painted and signed matching salt and pepper shakers and a cool 3-handle sugar bowl. The shakers are marked O. E.G. Royal Austria. One is embossed the the number 2954-and it has it's cork inside the shaker, but otherwise these are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks and gold gilt tops. The sugar bowl has 3 gold gilt handles and gold accented rim. This piece is from the same artist and is painted to match-it's marked R. S. Germany. All the pieces are signed by the artist"E. Ross" The sugar bowl is 2.25" tall and the shakers are 3" The painted flowers are all accented with raised white paint dots. The sugar bowl is also in excellent condition. Nipper, listening to the gramophone has fascinated young& old since the turn of the Century. The trademark image comes from a painting by English artist Francis Barraud. A.R.A. and titled His Master's Voice. It was acquired from the artist in 1899 by the newly-formed Gramophone Company. According to contemporary Gramophone Company publicity material, the dog, a fox terrier called Nipper, had originally belonged to Barraud's brother Mark. When Mark Barraud died, Francis inherited Nipper, along with a cylinder phonograph and a number of recordings of Mark's voice. Antique Vintage French Porcelain Swans Open Salt, Pepper and Lidded Condiment
Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely French porcelain table item from my last trip to France. It features three lovely swans all touching heads together. The mama swan is the largest swan and is the condiment jar with the back cover in the form of closed and crossed wings and the matching spoon which also has feathers as the handle of the spoon. These lovely salt and pepper shakers are ceramic/porcelain and are white in color with beige speckled dots. They feature hand painted yellow, red, and purple roses that are encircled in a colorful, green, flower filled vine. The shakers also have a hand painted green trim around the top and neck. Each piece has a wooden cork on the bottom that is used as a stopper/plug. They were made in the 1940’s in the United States. The shakers are in excellent condition! You are bidding on a Stunning& RARE Antique Noritake Hand Painted Porcelain Stein Style(handles) Blue Scenic Salt& Pepper Shakers made in Japan. A few things that make these so Rare is the Stein Style Shakers. They are hard to come by. These are dated around the 1920's due to the fact of the blue Noritake stamped emblem on the bottom. Some of these type emblems come in blue. Green, or red. The M in the middle of the wreath is for the Morimura Bros. Meaning items with the M in the middle started in the year 1916. Ok, enough of the history lesson! The Lovely Blue bell shaped shakers are hand painted of two different types of trees& a house or little shack over looking a mass of water. Another thing, one hole is larger than the other so you can tell them apart. Antique Pickard China. Aura Argenta Linear, Salt& Pepper Shakers. Gold and Platinum painted, Art Nouveau Design. These shakers are 4 sided. NOT round. One is- 3 3/4" tall x 1 3/8" square at the base. The other is- 3 5/8" tall x 1 7/16" square at the base. Both have 13 shaker holes in the top. Condition- Excellent. I feel no chips and see no cracks. No cork stoppers in the bottom. Minor age wear on edges and around shaker holes. Mark- in a cirle- Handpainted. W, Pickard, A, China. Stamped in green over the circle is- BAVARIA. PLEASE NOTE- All dishes probably were used.
