It is made out of some sort of dark wood. It was verified by an antique dealer that this tape measure dates back to the early 1800's. When the tape is unrolled. You can see the lines but cannot really make out the numbers due to age. It measures a bit over 1 inch across and about 7/8ths of an inch depth at the widest part. Both sides are a bit rounded-especially the top side with the little handle. Not sure what the little white nob at the end of the lever is made out of-could be porcelain, could be ivory. The other tape measure is made from vegetable ivory. It is also very old. The tape is red and is easier to read the numbers than the brown tape measure. I believe the handle on the top the rewinds the tape into the measure to be ivory; however I am not absolutely positive but pretty sure. This one also measures a bit under 1 inch across. About 1 inch tall not including the handle and about 1 5/8 inches tall including the handle. The final piece is a little pin cushion. I believe the center part is ivory as well as the handle. Although I cannot be absolutely sure. It is hand painted. An antique dealer believes that this is ivory and of course it is very old. It is about 1 3/4 inches long; about 7/8ths of an inch wide and the little handle is about 1/2 inch long. Please email me with any questions regarding these lovely old sewing items.

I have been cleaning out my grand-pa's house and I have come across a lot of different treasures. In this auction I am selling some of his collection of antique salt and pepper shakers. Most of them are in near perfect condition with a little dust but some do have chips. They were all stored in three huge china cabinets for many years and they are from all over the world. Then have a light background at the top with pink roses and greenery draping down. The gold on the top is heavy and in good condition. Them measure approximately 1-3/4" tall. There are no stoppers, but it shouldn't be hard to get some if you wanted to. I just displayed them, so I didn't need them. The mark on the bottom has Nippon in blue and something written above it also in blue. It may say handpainted or Noritake, or it may be a spray of flowers. It was stamped over the hole, plus it's faded, so I just cannot make it out. Whatever it is, it's ... morealso in blue. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, etc. on these little cuties. Green stove shaker has 2 holes on top Brown base and is 3 inches tall by 2 inches wide. The coal bucket or hopper is deep yellow with black coal on top with one shaker hole. It's 2 inches tall and 2" X 1.5" wide. They weigh 5 ounces combined unpacked. They are in good to very good condition with no cracks or crazing. The yellow bucket has a small chip on the bottom edge. There are no corks.

Antique Gold Moriage Floral Shaker Set, Pink, Blue, Green Flowers, Salt & Pepper
This listing is for an Antique. Salt and Pepper Shaker Set. The shakers are round with paneled sides and a button top. The design is very unique with a background of pink peonies with blue and pink flowers and leaves. In the center of the shaker is a band of green and pink flowers with a delicate gold scroll with a yellow background. The tops and bottom both have detailed gold moriage. The porcelain is very delicate and light weight. The pieces are unmarked, but the porcelain and styling are indicative of pre-WWII Japan. The shakers measure 3 1/2" high. 2 1/4" in diameter at the base and weigh 4.1 oz as a set. The bottom of one shake is damaged as seen in the photos. However the visible portions on both are free of chips, cracks and fleabites. The foot of the one with damage has a bubble on the surface of the edge, which is painted ... moreindicating it is originally as such. The top of both shakers have some gold paint loss from use or storage. The intricate designs on the sides and the moriage are in wonderful condition with no notable marks or wear. There are no corks.
