These belonged to my grandma and have been packed away in a trunk since her passing 25+ years ago. She was from Germany and may have brought these with her when she came or she got them because they say Germany on the bottom. The research that I did says that they are Pre-war. They are handpainted and they have the painter mark on the bottom. They are 3" tall and 2" wide. They are cute tigers in suits. These lived in her china cabinet and I do not know if they were used for salt and pepper or not. There is a cork inside one of them and no cork for the other. I will try to get the cork out. But I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I may not beable to do it. So it is an as is sale. I am hoping that a collector will want this unique pair for their collection. 103 year old Beautiful pair of German Porcelain Salt and Pepper Shakers. These are marked with a date on the bottom of each. May 23rd, 1910. They are in perfect condition. Gold tops show a little wear from age. Bottoms are beautifully scalloped.

~ Antique Salt Box ~ This listing is for an antique porcelain salt box. The white box has a fancy raised design with angled front corners and a decorative cornice on the front edge. The front has a blue windmill and house scene. Gold details on the cornice and edges, and a word in gold that could be"Salt" or"Salz" the gold script is very old and faded, and I'm not sure what it says. The sides have smaller versions of the wind mill scene. The hinged top is shaped to match the shape of the box. The backing is also wood with a carved design. A hole in the backing was used for hanging it on the wall. NOTE: the backside of the wood backing doesn't look too good as apparently it wasn't taken down when the kitchen was painted. And there are a lot of paint drips on it. The inside of the box is stained and dirty. The ... morebacking is held on by 2 short nuts and bolts. And wood washers. NOTE: there is a hairline crack above the top bolt(see photo) A lot of the gold is worn and faded; some is totally gone. Some of it is still there and in good shape. Measures approximately 5-7/8" tall without the cornice; 6-3/4" to the top of the cornice; 4" front to back. And 4-3/4" side to side. The wooden backing is 11-3/4" tall. Small flowers and rose buds with green leaves. I looked each one over and found no chips. The only thing I did find was a hairline on the inside of one of the baskets which is normal with antique porcelain this old. see photo. Hello and welcome to my auctions. Up for auction is a sweet set of fully marked salt& pepper shakers/pots. Forget me nots were a popular theme back in the day! Beautiful blue forget me nots are meticulously hand painted by a very skilled artisan on these old shakers. T heir red& yellow stamens& soft olive green leaves surround them. Fancy l ush gilt is hand painted on top of both. The bottom parts(half) have hues of beautiful soft blues. the top half have creamy pastel yellows. G reen leaves& stems connect the forget me nots done on both the front& back of each shaker. Both have 13 pour holes. Photo 7. Stamped on the very bottom porcelain of each one in green is" Z.S. Co. BAVARIA" Last 3 photos. I have washed both of them& placed new cork stoppers in them. They are a sweet pair of irreplaceable treasures ... morefrom days of horse& buggy! This sweet set has no chips. Flakes, cracks or damage anywhere. There is very little paint wear on either one. Th ey measure approximately over 2 3/4 inches high& approximately 1 1/8 inches across the bottom where they touch the surface of a table. Or a cabinet. Photo 8.
