Antique pair of hand painted salt and pepper shakers in a classic shape. Bright purple violets over a heavy milk glass with a tinge of pink around the lids. I don't think the lids are original. In great condition. No chips or cracks. Measure 3" tall. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. Vintage Hand Painted Salt & Pepper Set-Orange Poppies Gold Paint-Signed Cooke
Up for auction is a vintage pair of porcelain. 3 1/4 inch salt and pepper shakers. The background colors are a pale yellow and blue. You can't really see it in the photo's. They're decorated with hand painted, orange poppies. The tops are painted in thick, gold paint. The bottoms are signed by artist Luella Cooke. I've seen this artists' name before, not certain where, but I believe that she had painted porcelain for Limoges. These shakers come with cork stoppers. There is a little bit of damage that can be seen in photo's#1 and 3, the lower, left corner of one shaker. Otherwise, in excellent condition and more beautiful in person. If you have any questions. They are hand painted and signed by an amateur artist in pastel blue flowers that are outlined with green foliage and offset with small touches of yellow and red. The tops are painted in a full clean gold and the shape is of a simple and elegant rectangle. Both are marked with a green underglaze P L Limoges France. This is a La Porcelaine Limousine mark. Condition ~ is excellent to mint. This set is extremely clean. The decoration is full and bright. I have not removed the cork stoppers and do not know if they still hold any salt or pepper. The artist signature is on the edge of one shaker and the only possible faults would be a couple of tiny ... morepits from manufacturing in a couple of discrete areas. Mark ~ the mark on both shakers was the first factory mark used by La Porcelaine Limousine from 1905 into the 1930’s. This company was formed by P. This is a vintage mid century collectible pair of impish elves/leprechauns salt and pepper shakers. Leprechauns- One of a race of elves in Irish folklore who can reveal hidden treasure to those who catch them. Nicely hand-painted in green and yellow. With gold trim on the elves cuffs. Slippers and tassels. Normal wear and patina. Needs cork stopper(one cork is inside one shaker) Overall in great condition. No cracks. No chips. Leprechauns measure 3 1/2" tall. Antique White Asian Floral Hand Painted Salt Shaker With Blues/Green& Gold This shaker is aprox 4" tall by 3" wide(not exact just an estimate) There is only a couple small spots where the paint may be wearing from age but this also could be how the artist wanted it to look not sure exactly as I could not find another shaker like it. One of my favorite shakers and will sell as a pair with the other Asian shaker so be sure to check that out! Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers Unusual Victorian Era Porcelain Hand Painted and Blank Salt and Pepper Shakers Offered for auction is this unusal salt and pepper shaker set. What makes this set unusual is that these pieces appear to have been porcelain blanks to be painted by the Victorian lady of the house. Painting porcelain pieces was a very popular hobby at the end of the 19th century and into the early 20th century. The salt shaker which has slighty larger holes is delicately painted in a pale green and pink floral design. The pepper shaker. With very slightly smaller holes, is unpainted. The pottery that made the blanks is not known. These were from an estate sale so we will never know why only one of this set is painted and the other is not. Maybe the painter fell ill or just did not like ... morethis hobby well enough to paint two. The salt and pepper shaker is each about 2 5/8 inches high. Each of these were sealed with a tiny cork which is missing. Replacement corks can be found on the internet. There are no chips. Cracks, or crazing. Important Information I am in the process of selling objects which I have collected over many years of attending estate auctions. These items are mostly older collectibles and books including kitchen collectibles and cookbooks. Asian items, and many assorted items that simply need to go at this point. I try to research the history of these items and to carefully describe them but I am no expert and do not claim to be one. Vintage Porcelain Salt and Pepper Shakers,Hand Painted WIndmills, Made in Japan
Beautiful vintage salt and pepper shakers with windmills handpainted on side. Has gold finish on top. One has most of the gold. And the other shows some gold wear( probably was the salt shaker) The bottom corks are missing. But I think replacements can be bought at a craft store, usually plastic. The one with the gold wear has a hairline crack. Shown in photo 4. It is smooth to the touch, however, and will not affect its performance as a salt shaker. Approx 2.75" tall.

2 1/2" high an 2 1/2" wide. there are three chips onthe top of one. 1 major, 1 small& 1 tiny. Missing one cork, other than that they are in great condition. No makers mark. Made of very white porcelain(identified by the bottom. the top is ivory color with gold accents and beading around the edge. Background is a deep moss green and dark reddish-brown(sienna? maybe airbrushed on. The roses are deep pink variations with brush marks and teal gree-blue leaves fade to white tips. Very cute& elegant at the same time. This item will be packed very well and double boxed. Shipping includes tracking.
