Cute expressive painted face detail. Condition is good overall. Several cracks in the glazing and manufacturing flaws such as areas where the ceramic looks split or feels rough to the touch from excess ceramic pieces. A few worn areas of paint. Here is a Vintage Pair of Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shakers from Japan. They are Miniuature. Standing about 1 1/2 inches tall. The Shakers are Hand Painted and have what appears to be Gold leaf on the tops and sides. They have Hand Painted Flower Designs on 2 of the 4 sides. The other 2 sides have a Gold Leaf Design. The Tops have Stars in Gold. They both have cork stoppers on the bottom and they look like the originals. The Word Japan is Hand Painted in Red on the Bottoms of both. This Dates them to before WWII, after that everything was marked Made in Japan not just Japan. I have not been able to identify the maker or the exact age but I think they may be from the 1920's or 30's. They are Really Cute and Very Collectible!

This kitchen shaker set is in great condition with only a very tiny chip out on corner of the oil container and a missing cork stopper on the salt shaker. The paint colors are bright and shiny. The salad fork is in great shape. The wood holder is in excellent condition and has a Enesco Imports Japan sticker on the back.
