There are no chips. Cracks or crazing, but there is some paint wear loss to the silver rim that went along the bottoms(almost completely gone on one shaker) but the decorative floral painting is in excellent shape. The tops are a slightly different color then the body of the shakers and I don't know if this is original or due to discoloration from use. Only one shaker has a cork in it. Antique Art Nouveau 1891-96 Hand-Made M. Redon Limoges Porcelain Salt Shaker. This beautiful salt shaker was made by the M. Redon Porcelain Co of Limoges. France. The mark used on the bottom of this salt shaker indicates it was made sometime between 1891 and 1896. It is hand-painted green, and has a light iridescent glaze, with an Art Nouveau-style pattern. The shape of the piece is very similar to that of a hatpin holder. However the holes are too small and too numerous for it to be a hatpin holder. There is a small piece on the rim that has been broken off at one point, but has been glued back, and is nearly seamless; it's only noticeable if you're really looking for it.
