This listing is for a Vintage. Landscape Scene Salt and Pepper Shaker Set. The Shakers have a round base with button or muffin tops. The shakes depict a home on a the lake with beautiful blue waters. Shakers are marked"Made in Japan" in maroon on the bottom. The shakers measure 2 7/8" high. 1 1/2" in diameter at the base and weigh 2.9 oz. as a set. Both shakers chip. Crack and fleabite free. The scene on the body of the shakers is in excellent condition with few marks. The gold painted tops have significant paint loss. There are no corks. The rooster is 3-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" x 1-1/2" and is marked"Japan" on the bottom. The hen is 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" and is marked"Made in Occupied Japan" on the bottom. Both pieces have corks& have some chipping paint. Particularly the red paint. The other pair are brown roosters. They have corks and are still filled. They are not marked. Each rooster is 3-1/4" tall x 2" x 3-1/4. They have some crazing and chipping paint. They also have what looks like some manufacturing defects in the tail area. OK.Here is a RARE find! A Sunderland salt dish paired with a Sunderland shaker. Both are difficult to find on their own and I have never seen them as a set. They are both in very good condition especially considering their age. No visible damage. A tiny indentation in the rim of the shaker. That is all that I see. The shaker is missing a cork underneath. However only necessary if you were going to use it. A beautiful. Decorative pair for your china cabinet and for a collector of English Lustre/ Lusterware.a MUST! This is the cutest salt and pepper set! Oriental man(salt) resting on his rickshaw(pepper) are in great condition. Wonderful colors, a little chip off his black hat, a broken but repaired leg on rickshaw, some glaze crackling but no other damage. Cork plugs are original and both are marked Japan. The detail on both pieces are great and would make a wonderful addition to any collection! They measure together 3 1/2" tall x 4" long.

This Victorian ceramic master salt cellar measures 5 1/2" high in back x 6" wide and has an attractive cobalt blue floral decoration on it with the word"SALT" in black letters on front. The bottom is marked"GERMANY" and it still retains its original tiger maple lid which is hinged in back. This type of master salt was used either on the countertop or also has a slot on back so it can be hung on a wall in the kitchen. Condition: there is a 3 1/2" hairline on back side(not seen from front) and the wooden lid is cracked on back and the brass hinges are loose due to the brass tacks coming loose. Antique Hand Crafted Salt& Pepper Shakers made of Rock Truly Unique! I have never seen anything like them. They are actual Rock that was hand crafted into salt and pepper shakers. I obtained them at an old estate sale and when I saw them just had to have them. If they shouldn't sell at auction I'm not hesitant to keep them at all! They are an awesome pair that even if you have a large collection of salt and pepper shakers I would highly doubt you have these in that collection! It appears that whoever crafted them used rock that was split in half and somehow hollowed out then sealed back together by all appearances of these two shakers. The bottoms have the cork stoppers and one is numbered 7 and the other 8. There is also a Signature carved into the rock and darkened though I can't quite make out the name(see photo's) ... moreThese are solidly weighted shakers with the pair not far off from one pound and weighing in at 11.4 oz! Vintage '40s Iridescent Lusterware Salt/Peppers, Art Deco Style, Made in Japan
This lovely pair of shakers dates to the 1930s or early'40s and are classic Art Deco shape. They measure 3" tall x 1 1/2" wide. They are porcelain with a metallic glaze that gives the appearance of iridescence. A technique that produces what is called Lusterware. The bottoms are marked Made in Japan. The color is a pale tangerine orange or gold with a light blue top. They are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or blemishes. They have cork stoppers, and as you can see in the last photo, the shaker on the right has had paper added around the cork, no doubt for a secure fit. We didn't try to pull it out. Who knows? There may be something exciting written on that paper. I clearly remember an identical pair from my early childhood in the 1940s, which always graced my Grandmother's dining table. Colorful Staffordshire Condiment Figure circa 1860 ~ Yellow Hat& Pants ~ Cobalt Blue Jacket Toby Philpott ~ Mustard Pot(Without the Hat) ~ 4 5/8" high ~ about 2 5/8" across the base These figures are very glossy and show many tiny white light reflections. Seen above on his left side, this is not damage. An English Staffordshire mustard pot condiment figure. Part of a set of four which I am listing, each with shiny cobalt blue jackets, naturally painted faces and hair and yellow slacks. The bottoms are painted with a simple cobalt blue line around the base. This figure is unfortunately missing his hat but could still be used in a set or I think he would make a lovely bud vase and would look great with a large gerbera coming out of his head.
