Here is a Pair of Antique or Vintage Brass Wall Sconces Lights With Crystal Hanging Prisms. Each one of these has two arms on them with white candlecovers. These will need to be rewired as I wouldn't want to trust the wiring that is in them. These have a nice patina on them. One of them has some paint around the base of it and some up on the arm also, which I am sure would come off with some scrubbing. These will need a good cleaning, all I did was knock the top layer of dust off. There is some very, very light corrosion in a few spots but this isn't bad at all. PAIR ANTIQUE Gothic Tudor Renaissance Revival WALL SCONCE lamps lights 1920s
I have up for sale a wonderful matching pair of Antique Vintage circa 1920s or there abouts Gothic Tudor Wall Sconces.Complete with original Amber Crackle Glass Chimney Shades. The underlying metal appears to be brass- with factory applied finish. The metal frame measures approx 14-1/2" with the amber chimney- the height is approx 16" The back plate measures approx 4-1/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall. Both sconce frames are in Excellent Original as found Condition! There are no damages and wear is minimal-the finish is excellent. No breaks. No cracks, Etc. The lamps will need new switches- as the old ones are absent. The shades are in very good shape. They have some minor nicking/ nibbles on the top rims but this is fairly trivial and not something at all noticeable. One shade has a small chip. Shown upclose in pic#10. They are ... morea heavy thick glass- and have excellent color and effect when lit. The bulbs that fit the lamp have to be the long slender type. You may have to screw the bulbs in from the top as the inner diameter of the shades are approx the same as the bulb and they will slide through the bottom but the sides touch on the lower section of the bulb. No big deal just do this from the top and no problems.They are old replacement shades-dating to the same era- almost identical to the originals-which are shown in my last pic. Superb Antique Double Socket Brass & Green Glass Table Lamp Body Lights Up 1930s
This auction is for a Fantastic Antique Double Socket Table Lamp With Great Brass Metal Work and a Lovely Soft Green Glass Body with a Molded Relief Floral Design that lights up. The piece is in very good condition. Especially for its age, which I believe dates to the 1930s. There are no cracks or chips in the glass or breaks or dents to the metal. I have tested the lamp and it works well. Both of the top sockets which activate on pull cords and the center body that lights up by a twist knob on the base. The brass pieces have a nice patina built up. The Green Glass body is frosted and molded into a relief design of leaves or thistle. The brass at the base and above the glass has an elaborately designed reticulated Victorian pattern. The lamp has a center rod that adjusts. Allowing you to raise the main sockets a few inches. The sockets also ... moreare hinged, which allows you to separate them apart from one another depending on your lighting needs. The lamp measures about 25 inches from the base to the top of the sockets. The lamp base measures about 8 inches across. The lamp doesn't come with a finial or shade. The center body cast a very soft. Soothing accent glow. The hardware appears to be original to the lamp. There are no makers marks so I am not certain of the manufacture. A PAIR of Antique THEATER SCONCES Light Fixtures! Here we have very cool and very scarce find. A pair of antique light fixtures. Sconces, that I am told came out of an old theater that was being torn down. These were purchase in New York around 20 years ago. They were probably hanging on either the wall above the aisles or over the doorways into the theater. They look to be from the early part of the century to me. These lights are huge. Measuring approximately 26" long by 6" wide. Beautiful Art Nouveau. Deco flower and scroll design that would work either horizontally or vertically. They are metal with wood backing and are quite heavy. Looks like they were originally painted gold and one of them is worn more to the metal than the other. One has original inside fixture. The other needs replacing, this should be an easy find and ... morethe backs come off very easily. The last photo. although not a very good photo-sorry) show the one with the fixture lit, to give you an idea of the pretty glow they make when working. Of course even though this one worked, I would rewire it anyway. These would be amazing brought back to the original look. Both fixtures have a satiny finish somewhere between silver and brass, with an elegant scrolling vine design around the perimeter of the fitter. Each light features a simple gadrooned glass shade. And for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company(extant today of course) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier! The fixtures are typically Lightolier in being rather ingenious. The shades have little leg-like extensions on top. Creating a space between the shade proper and the chrome fitter above. The finial has pierced openings. The reason for all this? You can use 100W bulbs without the fixtures overheating. The heat from the bulbs will create an air current. This will draw cool air up through the openings in the finial. And out through the openings between the shade legs. Clever? I think so! The shades are also striking. The edges have very thin raised lines. And the bottoms have a highly textured, dimpled surface. Nice. The smaller fixture is especially adorable. Each Sconce measures approximately 7 1/2" high(from the bottom of the gas burner, to the highest part of the light) and will stand out from the wall about 10" to the edge of the shade holder) The shade holder measures about 3 1/2" in diameter and has a spring type holder for the shade(see photo) They are both in very good condition with a nice old patina on the brass that shows some wear but still looks wonderful! There is a tiny gas adjuster screw, above the shade holder apparatus, that still turns but the knob end on each is worn away(It might have been a type of rubber) Everything looks beautiful on these old wall sconces! All three of these are perfect examples of quality made in the USA hand assembled clearly marked date made 1920 on the iunside of ther back plate they are made of handbent and shaped heavy rod iron with solid pure brass pcs with holes drilled in them for the wiring to pass from the back to the bulbs pretty cleverly i might add i was impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. they really look good mounted on stone masonry but blend with any surface it seems.when i got them at an auction in 2010 i had plans to us them in my shop.But quickly relized I had a real find here and decided to save them for my house plans changed and now I hope they find a good home.

One matched pair of vintage ornate candlestick electric sconces with original bronze finish and paint. Looks to be cast iron. Highly detailed and in fantastic condition. Very delicate working pull chain switch on both units still functions. Includes orange flame bulbs. Cloth covered wire is still in like new condition and is not bare or cracked but may need to be upgraded to be safe. Slight paint remains on edges of lamps where they meet the wall in cream and light green. No scratching or chipping. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! Each unit measures 10 inches long.
