Antique Vintage Lighting Shades Pair of Frosted Painted Shades 2 1/4" Fitter
Here is a pair of frosted shades that were removed from a home that dated from the 1920's. I'm not sure if they are original. But they appear to be from that era. The exterior is frosted and the interior is painted. There are a good amount of'flea bites' on the exposed edges. Check photos for condition. The flea bites along the lower lip of both shades are numerous but there are no chips from damage. These will be shipped in an over-sized box for protection. Architectural Salvage Antique Vintage Lighting x 2. I DO NOT know the age of these lights. But what I can tell you is that our home was built in 1870. I know that it was remodeled but I do not know when. We are updating the entire house now and I would really like these fixtures to go to someone whom appreciates them. They are very stunning and very eye catching. Each fixture holds 3 lights and as far as we can tell, they work well but that was on a quick test run and were never used on a daily basis but for the right person they would have No issues fixing any problem with them. Please take a close look at all of the pictures and the details. From the top to the bottom measures approximately 14 inches and the width is just under 13 inches. Of course, is delicious(and original) I also love that the original shades and canopy are still present. I’m uncertain as to when the fixture was made. Perhaps as early as the late 1930s when tôle became popular. It may as late as the 1950s. I’m certain it’s not later as the original wiring was cloth-covered(plastic wire was common about 1960) The exposed wire is new. But cloth-covered like the original. The chandelier is an impressive 21-inches wide. It’s nicely scaled for an average to large-ish dining room. For example. Or perhaps your newly renovated kitchen! This fixture is ready to hang. And comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs. COLOR: A darkish green. Gold detailing. SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 30-inches and is 21-inches wide. I can remove up to 7-inches of chain. CONDITION: I love writing this: there’s no damage.
